im planning on making a new homemade beast and i thought about using a socket this time instead of my trusty ol' trumpet piece so i checked out my dads tools and they were all really rusty except for one so i took it but i want to be sure
so is there any way to clean a socket really good or is it possible for me to just pick up an individual one from home depot or something ?

They're like $1.87 at Home Depot. Buy Husky though. ;)

put it in a baggy with rubbing alcohol in it and shake it up real good, this will get all the grease or anything off of then put it down somewhere safe and take a small torch to it to burn off all the alcohol. Then it's clean. (actually sterile really.) Don't use wd40 you want to smoke out of it later but if there is some rust a wire brush will work good.
clr might work but make shure you rinse it really really good after that
