I have the roof near my exhuast vent, has anyone vented into the wall? does it end up getting back into the AC stinking the house?

In a word, yes.
That will stink up the house.
Plus it is inefficient, as you are creating positive pressure within your walls and the fan will not be able to push as much air.

Wont the air just go out the roof seems along the walls of the house? It will stink the house.. crap.. what if I go up in their and run the ducting to the back of the house or some shit

i vent into the attic in my house. In the attic, there are other vents to the outside, the large ones, so i have no worries.
I took the cover off the heating vent and manufactured a flange to attach the ducting to (PIC) (http://boards.cannabis.com/attachments/closet-cabinet-growing/101503d1163915248-hydrohut-ventilation-b.jpg) . Also the vent for the lamp is completely isolated from the grow vent and the grow room has a carbon filter so there are no worries there.

so if I ran my duct into the wall, into the attic through a carbon filter I should be good.. ?
Im afriad to run just a carbon filter, as I cannot let this smell get out..

-oh hey i forgot to say. I disconnected the ducting that leads to the room, so it goes into the box where the cover was removed and then up into the attice where i disconnected the duct from the top of the box. Get it?
About the smell, test venting into the grow room for a few minutes just to see how good the smell removed. My take 100% out. When the filter is on, you can be in the same room and blindfolded wouldn't know there were plants.

No shit man thats awesome thank you... I dont think I can run my AC to my box.. haha shit.. the AC exhuast to my room is about a foot, pretty damn big. The room temp is fine, I just wanna get the box air/head out
Debating on just a carbon filter? think thats fine? or should I cut the drywall and run it up to the attic?
Thanks for your help man.
I plan to build a carbon filter here soon.. hopefully it'll last through the whole flower.. right now my plants are about 3-4 days old so I got some time

you need a filter no matter what you do if you are worrieda bout the smell. The suggestion i gave is just a way to get the "used" air out of the room

Siz - I've attached a pic that might help you understand this a little better.
The foto shows what a wall looks like inside. Notice the horizontal piece of wood between the two studs? It's called a fire block and every single column of studs has at least one. So, your walls consist, essentially, of many boxes - not many tubes as a lot of people think.
Lest you think I pulled my drywall off just to show you what it looks like inside, what I am doing here is building a vent using my wall space as the vent pipe. This wall is in the garage, the other side is in the house. When I'm ready, I'll cut open the wall on both sides, one hole low, the other high. Then I'll have a light-proof vent. If you have heard of people venting into drywall, this is what they were talking about.

Awesome info, thanks for the help doods. Im gonna try a carbon solo, and if i still smell anything I might cut a whole in the wall and run the duct through the attic to the back of the house witht he carbon out there. I figure this will help pull AC into my room but I hope it doesnt rack up a big AC bill
