Earliest can go to 12/12???

I'm working in a realy tight space (short), I've got Dutch Nebula growing and they look great but I'm worried about running out of room (height). I'm at 4 weeks of Veg right now, they are just over a fooot now and have a foot and a half left before running out of space. Can I go to 12/12 now? Yield isn't a concern (It's all for me :)):rasta:

Welcome.
You can do 12/12 directly from seed actually. There is no moment that you are allowed to induce flowering.
If you go 12/12 from a very early time, the plant will decide on its own when to flower, which will be when it has reached sexual maturity.
It will SHOW maturity by producing leaves at ALTERNATING nodes rather than OPPOSITE... the top of the stem will start to have a slight zigzag pattern... buds will not be far behind.

As for space, bend the main stem over and tie it before it gets too stiff and woody. That will give you a little extra headroom to play with, and a more even and efficient canopy.

Oh edit:

If you have pinched them or topped them in any way, you MUST wait 2-3 weeks longer to induce flower or your yield will suffer BADLY. Bending is okay though.

yeah for sure,i usually veg for 4 weeks then flip to flower,plants have been known to triple in size and i've still had what i consider pretty good yeilds per plant,4oz+

It's my first post and it looks like there's some sort of "permalink" set up for my question. As for tieing it down, I'm growing in a Phototron 6 (first time in one) so Im sort of tight on the sides also. I'm very very surprised at the results I'm getting! I've grown under a 400W HPS before but I'm getting what looks to be better results out of this Phototron thing. And I thought it was a rip off joke...I guess you can't believe everything you read on the net. It could also be the seeds too though but so far so good.:thumbsup:

i would go stinky's route and bent them over(LST) you can gain lots of height this way and expand thier mass of bud production.
