The British (not Scottish) goverment has decided that its far too dangerous for his Royal (waste of tax payers money) Highness Prince Harry to go and fight in Iraq.
I think he should go why is it OK for other mothers sons to die and not for him,
I would value your opinion on this
Cheers

i think its the fact of how many of our troops would be put at risk just having him there, and also the threat of kidnap from iran,my brothers done 3 tours id be more pissed off if he got popped because of harry than just doin his job, anyway how pissed do you think harry,is its what you sign up for you know!Harry would of been fine a couple of hundred years ago when leaders were warriors not politicians,i think hes alright he seems a lot more normal and down to earth than his brother who probably wouldnt have the balls to go! im not sayin the war is right but their our boys over there give em some support:thumbsup:

He wanted to go but the government pulled the plug on him. Ya gotta give him credit for wanting to stay with his fellow soldiers BUT his presence would be nothing but a signal flare over their heads.
The insurgents and Iranians would have a price on his head and the people around him would be the ones to suffer for it. I tip my hat to the kid but I also tip my hat to the Brits for recognizing a bad situation.
IF the damn press would keep their mouths shut from time to time he'd be nothing more than another helmet BUT it makes the headlines. It's a damn shame when paper sales are more important than lives.

True i applaud his courage for wanting to go but every nutcase jihadist would be gunning for his head and that would of only caused more british troop casualties .I have never ever liked the royal family and im british but for Prince Harry wanting to be with his mates in the shit says something about his character good for him.Now if only they would bring all the boys home even better.

I am also concerned about the safety of British and all allied troops but the fact is they should not be there, I dont think safety would be compromised by sending a British royal to fight our troops are being killed at random whenever it suits someone to kill them anyway. Perhaps if Harry was sent to fight our goverment might get all of our troops out rather quickly. If he was never giong to fight why the hell was he in the armed forces in the first place,if he really wanted to go then how can he be stopped it is his right to go with as he says "his men" It is very easy to say I want to go when you know you will never be allowed to.
There should not be one rule for Royals and another for other troops it is an insult to those who have died or should I say murdered as we are not at war.
Anyway lets hope for a speedy end to this conflict which really has nothing to do with us.

let him go...why is he so special? he trained for it, he's just like the rest of them, he's not a god, let him go...
like kissinger said:
In 1973, in General Alexander Haig's presence, then National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger, referred pointedly to military men as "dumb, stupid animals to be used" as pawns for foreign policy.[10] Kissinger set the public stage for the war managers to sacrifice the gullible, but patriotic and "stupid," American troops to the use of weaponized uranium oxide gas. American General Norman Schwarzkopf from the First Gulf War stated they were not told anything about harmful uranium munitions.
US media censor uranium weapons stories (http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=NIC20050529&articleId=82)

Not like it's a secret that there is no love lost between Iran and Britain. Don't ya think that if they're faction in Iraq were to capture or kill Harry the leaders would secretly applaud? OOPS, sorry.........I forgot they're the good guys. LOL

As far as I know he wanted to go and "defend" his country.
The argument that he may put the other soldiers lives at risk by being there is legitimate, and obviously the fault of the media for broadcasting to the world that he might be going. His presence will endanger other soldiers, if he were there and the enemy were able to isolate him. This is a possibilty.
But at the end of the day the soldiers lives are already in serious danger as a result of the fact the previously stable dictatorship has now been stirred up into a bloody civil war.
The real reason I think is not the possible increase in danger to other soldiers, its the danger to Harry. This would not look very good for the government, certainly not in the shadow of the Diana conspiracies, and definately not in light of the fact its (a) still an illegal war and (b) not exactly going very well for the british and american forces at the moment.
Harry said that he would quit the forces if he wasn't allowed to go, but I think he has been told to stay so as not to make too much of a mockery of the whole situation.
