So I go online to do my usual school work. And I log in to my chemistry class which is almost over and I find out I have to read and answer questions about drugs and drug related crap like their chemical compounds and cell structures and all that crazy stuff. So I looked down at this U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency Classification of Drugs list and here it goes...wait for the weed part you'll be pissed.

Over the counter drugs- Aspirin, cough medicines

Permitted nonmedical drugs- Alcohol, caffeine, nicotine

prescription drugs- Antibiotics, birth control pills

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

schedule 1 (NO medical use, HIGH abuse potential)- Heroin, LSD, Marijuana

schedule 2 (Some medical use, high abuse potential)- Amphetamines, cocaine

Schedule 3 (prescription drugs, abuse potential)- barbiturates, tranquilizers



Yeah I know, what crap right? So I email my Professor (he's a real cool guy and a Harvard Chem guy so he knows his shit) and I complain and he goes, "I agree fully, you don't have to worry about it." and h'es now not making us do the marijuana crap hahahah. He said it won't be missed anyway. :thumbsup:

I had a really cool chemistry teacher when I was a school, he was interesting as fuck, apart from the last year in highers, but that was down to the subject matter.

I reckon there is a good chance that he was partial to a smoke in his hey day, and possibly still is.

I dunno I have ALOT of problems with that.

1) How can you even THINK about comparing weed with Heroin?

2) No medical effects? Tell me that when I was getting chemo.

3)Highly addictive? Nope, mentally maybe not physically.

I think the person who wrote this has never smoked weed. My stomach is fucked and I feel sick a lot of the time, but when I smoke weed it goes away like that. Its a great medicine in my book. Im glad weed helped you through chemo as I know people who have had this.

What chemistry course are you doing by the way? I studied chemistry at college. Hard subject but makes you think about things in a deeper way. I used to go to my lessons baked and I could still somehow do it.

i asked my chemistry teacher if he tried drugs when he was our age. he said he used to use dope. we thought he just tried it once, but we asked him if he used a bong, joint, blunt, or other pipe he said he used to use all of them. hes the shit, but kinda boaring

But yeah, being as weed is considered a (schedule)class 1 substance, it puts it higher on the agenda for cops to bust as opposed to say... COCAINE!

I have a couple of pothead teachers...
My math teacher tours with The Dead every summer and specifically was absent on 4/20, said it was some business shit but we all knew he was bullshitting ;)... He encouraged us not to come to class haha
And my english teacher is a fuckin like tripper, my freinds have seen him at umphreys and widespread panic shows, hes an outdoor guy too which is pretty cool.
best is tho the network admin is like this 27 year old guy that used to run sound for Phish and just has mad connects inthe music biz, real chill dude...

See, if all of these teachers have smoked. Then how can they go and continue teaching this bs? Well I have thought of this myself because i'm going to be a teacher and I think the only reason would have to be to keep your job! I don't see any other way.

It's a shame the American law is so completely and utterly stupid, over the top and un needed, AND un founded.

I cant believe they can seriously concider weed as being worse than cocaine.

That's my top reason for never wanting to visit the states, simply because theres so many laws that are wrong and contradict others.
