I just got repped by someone who was like, dude rep me back now... !!! You know who you are. That was BS. When you post something helpful or intelligent, cool. Rep and respect are equivalent IMO and 'can I have some rep please' just makes you seem like a beggar. I don't roll that way.

well rep is a good thing because it'll let noobies to the site know who they should trust, but when it gets abused like this what's the point. all it's asking for is for the noobs to start posting threads begging for rep and then nobody will really know who to trust.

is there a possibility to get the rep system adjusted so you could only recieve say 2-3 reps a day no matter who they come from?

But i think threads like this are pointless, who cares how many dots you have next to your god damn name, its a website you know. I just think that if youre gonna have that kind of gauge on a username/person that at least it should be for meaningful stuff, like providing helpful advice or growing tips etc, not for making spam threads begging for reputation...

Im not new to the site at all, been around longer than most of you including samwhore, and ive watched the site degrade from where people gave useful advice and had good conversations (albeit with some flaming) to this stupid pointless annoying shit about cheeseburgers and hitler. Ill say probably 90 percent of your posts are one liner useless wastes-of-space, only useful to get your post count and self esteem up.
Maybe if you got off the computer for more than 30 seconds you could go out into the REAL world and make some real friends (internet has downplayed the value of human-human friendship) and stop spending your waking moments posting spam on some pot website.
