2 BBQ style pork chops cooked in the oven (seared in a frying pan on each side to seal in the flavor, then stuck in the oven til almost done, pulled out, then slathered with BBQ sauce, and minced onion/garlic and cooked another few minutes...)

thick creamy macaroni and cheese and brocoli-chicken rice... :thumbsup: 10 mins later and i can still taste those chops....

Our food is GOOD food. Well, the majority of it. Nothing from America is as good as a lovely fish and chips, or a fucking full on english breakfast with fried bread , tomatoes, coffee, mushrooms - the flaming works, they dont ahev told in the hole - that's a winner! And what else, erm, oh my god, steak and kidney pie, i think we have a winner.

Then again, i like big macs. So i guess im fucked either way.

But i sure do like FOOD.

That sounded lovely. If i could i would. I'd love to have some of that. I havnt had toad in the hole since i was living with me parents. I should get me mum over and get to cook me one. I can never get the batter right, it never rises properly. I suck. Although one thing i'm good at is stake and meats - probably because i eat so much of it lol. And somehow i'm still not overwight, it's more muscle than fat. My 6 packs gone, but my keg is better :)

Start with Yorkshire pudding, it's a bit easier... the extra fat from sausage seems to make the batter not rise quite so well... you're probably not beating your eggs long enough if there is a problem with rising. I wonder if you could beat the whites seperately as for a merengue, do the rest of the batter, and then fold it together at the last minute? Hmmm.... I will have to try tht next time I wish to clog my arteries (already not flowing particularly freely as a result of too many cheezburgers)....

Cheers for the advice :D I'm going to try it on sunday. I'm laying some turf with my cousins, although we was meant to do it last week so the turf was already got, so it's going to be dead now, so it'll be 4 of us stoned out of our minds trying to lay dead turf. Ha. Should be fun. I'll be nice to get home and cook myself a lovely toad in the hold.

lol i can't eat vegetables everynight... (i only really eat a meal a day) and hte last few days sides has mostly consisted of some pasta crap, carrots or green beans... i wanted something diffrent...

Yeah, I dont eat them everynight also. I do like them though. Have you tried putting wholegrain mustard (or dijon, english) in your mash. It tastes amazing, especially with pork.

If i'm feeling spicy [i like heat in my food] i'll have a Phal, although you loose alot of the flavour because it's mainly heat. People have died from eating it LOL - closes up the windpipes or something like that. Even though, i quite enjoy it.

Well, the next meal in my time zone is lunch, and it's Indian food actually! Granted, it's institutional Indian food from one of the food concessions where I work, but they DO make a fabulous cilantro/green chile chutney that eases the disappointment of the overcooked chicken and bland sauce in the soupy chicken tikka masala, lol.
