12/12 to sex

ok have a total of 6 plants in 4X2 1/2 closet the hit soil 4/15 so they are about 8 inches tall i hear it takes 6 weeks to sex or longer? can i switch to 12/12 to get early sex? is it better to wait? im gunna start running outta room soon so i wanna get the males out and i can weed out the weak one cuz they are all doing great and i can choose one what is my best bet????:rastasmoke:

You need to stick to 12/12 for the duration of the flowering.

you can start flowering anytime you want to. The longer you veg, the better results you'll get. I've heard of people switching back to veg after a couple weeks of 12/12. I've also heard of covering lower branches for 12 hours to force those to sex. If you're running out of room you could LST if it's not too late.

Well i've often wondered the question...if you 12/12 and remove males is it safe to reveg for awhile to fill in the empty space in the grow room...i would love to know cuz i recently had 12 plants and recieved only 2 females...does 12/12 then revegging stress plants too much?

I can assure you that you can go from flowering back to veg once you see if it's a boy or girl. BUT you can't let it flower past a couple days once it starts to show.
Best way to pick out the strongest mother for clones.
When you put her back to veg, She will continue to show pre-flowers for ever, with no hermies. (at least not im my case) I kept her for 2 years in ebb/flow! (Clone Monster)

should i switch to the hps to sex then to mh when i reveg???? does it matter?? so the second i see a pistil if i piut it back to 18/6 it will not fuck with the plant or stress it?????

My friend, take clones from each and every plant in your growroom, cultivate the clones and flower them to see the genetic sex of the original plants. Flowering and re-vegging once you have determined sex... pointless.

MegaOctane's idea is good providing you have the room to do it, and if you do, make sure you label which clone is from which so you know which plants to chop later :)
