Let me tell you about the rudest stoner I have ever met....

I went to a party on Friday night...nothing too huge, it was pretty relaxed and low-key....and two of my friends and I went outside to smoke a blunt.

We just start when the door opens and this dude comes outside, who we sort of knew but had never really had a conversation with or anything. He's an arrogant ass who thinks he's the coolest cat around just because he's the bassist in a band (a band that sucks balls, by the way)... Anyway, he comes outside and says "I'm in".

Now, I'm a really nice guy, so I didn't tell him to fuck off like many might if someone "asked" like that. I resignedly motion for him to join the circle, and we begin smoking. Well, whenever the blunt comes to this guy, he takes 6 hits! Not only that, but he takes his sweet time between hits. We all wanted to punch him; it also just so happened that I was next in line after him.

Whenever my friend who's before him in the circle is hitting (the guy is polite and takes 2 hits) the new guy looks really impatient, like "hurry the fuck up." Worst of all....the third time the guy gets the blunt, he takes 4 hits and then just stands there, immobile, for about 20 seconds, the large spliff in his hand. So I reach for it, and he immediately snaps to attention and says "dude..." and gives me a look like I'm really rude, and then takes another 3 hits before passing.

I seriously hope this motherfucker smokes nothing but shake for the rest of his life. Anyone else have any stories like this?

i personally know when there's an actual circle i'ts hit hit pass, but if it's me and a friend or my brother just toking, i do the same, i hold onto it forever and take alot of hits... (after we've both had some off it, i'm not gonna sit there forever it with it when we're both sober and it just got lit)

i go evenf urther then that tho... some people are timid and really try to keep the usual ettiquite.... we're smoking, i hold it for awhile, then they hit it twice and try to pass it back i tell them "dude, hold onto it for a minute..."

someone should have said something.. personally if it were me in tha tsituation i would have said "hit hit pass, it'll come back i promise" and if he said anything other then 'my bad' or the equivelant i woulda said.. "bye..." of course he woulda gave me the wtf look, and i woulda just stared back... if he was still standing htere, when the person before him got the blunt i woulda told him to skip the mother fucker and pass to me (or whoever was after him)

but you HAVE To say something.... some people just don't know any better and youc an't get mad at them for it, cuz they don't know any better... once you tell them and if they ignore it, then that's their ass.... especially if it's your weed (personally, if it's someone elses weed we're all smoking, you can't bitch.... i'm grateful for the 2 hits i get per round of free weed even if the 'owner' holds onto it for 10+ hits... it's his shit...

can't tell me you wouldn't get pissed if someone was trying to tell you what to do with YOUR weed.... it's about respect.....

Yeah man, why the hell didn't you say shit? Well, I can understand that, I've been a bit uncomfortable with the smoke etiquette before and was too timid to say anything.

But if someones pissing you off then you should definitely say something. They either don't know better, or are going to keep doing what they're doing till told otherwise, a lot of people are real chill when you tell them to do something because they're the ones getting smoked out and don't wanna get kicked out the rotation.

I just tell them how it is, no anger. Just that they can't be doin that kind of shit when they smoke with me, especially if it's out of my stash.

The only other thing that makes me mad is when people drool into the bong, bogart the bowl, or pack a bowl out of my stash without even fucking telling.

I'm real cool about it when I'm smoking though, so I'm alright with it for the most part, unless you do this continuously.

We generally do a 3hit rotation on number sized joints around here, 5hits from a bigger joint(made with 3skins)...if we roll a monster(8skins or more used)then its generally as many hits as you can muster. I hate rude tokers, if somebody is offering to smoke you up you should go by there smoking rules and be lucky your smoking at all.

Has happened to me once, I was out smoking with my friends, some friend of a friend comes over(she was from england) and talks to us about how she smokes. We polished off a few joints and she edged into the rotation, a nice fat joint was passed to her, lets just say once it was passed to me(yes by that stage there was only me, her and another guy) it wasnt much of a joint. I just told her that if she wanted to smoke up with my weed not to be "raking the bacon" or something along those lines although ive never smoked up with her again.

I remember a stoner from my college, this kid would treat any piece passed to him like a microphone. Just sit there and hold it, talking away. 1 min. 2 min. This could go on at length unless somone intervened. Long story short, his personal record was intercepting all 3 bowls during a hotbox session in the roomates car. He just calmly sat there yakking away, juggling 3 bowls, 3 lighters, and a worthless brain.

If you have a friend displays these incorrect tendencies, I find it useful to use their name to describe what they are doing wrong. i.e lets say "Winston" is treating the bowl like a microphone. calmy ask him to stop "winning the bowl." Bonus points if you keep it up among your friends.

some good KB with alot of trichromes, yes, there's a good chance it could be stronger.... if it's mid grade or lower without hardly any trichs (if any) ther'es not a very high chance it'll be more potent... and if it's shake from high schagg or really low mids, definately not... if there are no trichs on th buds to fall off into the shake, all it is mostly scraps of dried leaves and small itty bitty bits of bud that've fallen off...

I feel the need to post because I see some misconceptions here. first, etiquitte is never mandatory, it is respect between smokers, and if someone shows no respect, then they are not worth your time, and must be dealt with.

Im not one for banging hammers over weed, but there are always ways of dealing with people, and they dont have to be violent. I had a guy I knew act like a weed nub, never wanted to supply weed (damn mooch), talked bad about my herb (sure, it was middies, but they wernt bad, and were cheap as hell) and possible stole a nug from me (though i had no foolproof way of prooving it). I had no desire to hang out with him, so I simply stopped returning his calls, and cut him out of my life.

now, in your case, as this was someone you just met, not someone you knew, i would have warned him once, then after that politly tell him he should go back inside. if he decided he wanted to talk shit and fight (god forbid) you had your friends with you, so it wouldnt have gotten very far. You just have to talk to people and let them know.

Okay, I'm fairly new to this [a month or two] but whats wrong with shake?

I had a weird experience yesterday. I usually smoke like small nugs packed in a bowl. Usually just one or two nugs. Yesterday, I had a nug and some shake because he broke it down a lot. When I hit the bowl, I coughed so much my eyes were watering and I couldn't hold it in. He [a very experienced smoker] turns to me and says "I bet you wanna know why you coughed like that" because I always ask a lot of questions, and he tells me because its shake, and it burns faster so more smoke gets in your lungs. Isn't that good though? More smoke?

I hate coughing. I took two hits and I was out, stoned as a motherfkr.

Shake burns faster because as the weed pieces are very small, there is more surface area. Though you can get some monster hits from shake, I'd say its usually less potent than regular bud. Shake tends to have a lot of leaves, because leaves easily fall off buds.

I think ettiquitte is really important. But smoking a lot of someone's weed isn't only bad ettiquette, its just not showing that person any respect. If everyone had mutual respect, we wouldn't need arbitrary rules like puff puff pass.
