I live in the city...I am pretty much in downtown Riverside..I get tired at looking at all the ugly people with their suits and ties...
I am moving to San Diego to the beach, it will be much better except it is still so busy..
But I would like to live on a 5 acre lot...everything solor and wind power..my own well, hunting, fishing, garderning with MJ plants...Just need a cool, hot chick that is into the same thing...that would be the life.

I reside on one of the corners on a 5-way intersection where, if I'm here, I hear cars and people pretty much all day and night. There's pretty much some sort of business on each corner. I couldn't have it all quiet and shit...I love the noise lol.
So, it's city/suburbs, more suburban in my area. But, my city is pretty damn big, and right next to an even bigger city of much historical value.

Yeah i was there over the summer for a little while... long story but it was a road trip... we stayed at march arb... off of cactus by the carls jr
Anyway...
I live in an inner ring suburb of the poorest city in the nation, and while where i live is still a decent place, the crime and ghetto population is growing, and theres projects, but its not as bad as the straight up ghetto. you deal with your fair share of shit here though, makes you tough i guess.

Yeah dude I live in a former predominantly-white town that was really quiet and peaceful. Lately, a lot of people from Newark, a nearby MAJOR city in Jersey, have been moving in. There was a driveby 2 blocks away from my house, some guy was found dead in a trunk rotting away about 45 feet from my house, the people across teh street from me (literally like 30 feet) had people break into their house and tie them down to chairs while they stole all of their posession, a couple that had newly moved into a home got robbed and shot (1 week after moving in) and they both died, the neighborhood teens are all 'ghetto' and 'gangster' and assholes that fuck with everyone, especially the old people or me (i have a pretty big mullet and i get a lot of shit for it)
It's horrible, but I still walk around the streets and the nearby park (about 2 square miles and a lot of people get assaulted, robbed, and even shot there), when I'm high/drunk. I never had a DIRECT problem with any of this delinquancy, but it shure as hell happens close to my house, damnit!
But there is a LOT of weed around this area...weed and yak. The weed is pretty good, there's all types, but I dont' see much 'dirt' weed, there's a lot of piff/haze, hydro, some sour d, and a few other strains or variants. It's pretty good :). Wish it was as cheap as it is in texas though..
Oh and a dead baby was found burried (had it's leg sticking out of the dirt) by a church 2 blocks away from my house too.

I live in a place with an identity crisis. 30 years ago, it was nothing but a sprawling suburb, where the business district was formerly filled with porn and pawn shops.
Today it's an dense surburban/urban city. A place where McMansions are right next to 1-story houses, because there is nowhere to build but up. It's where a historic car dealership was torn down for another modern building. A place that has lost it's roots. The roads inadequate to the current population. An environment where people are cold, money and power rules. A liberal stronghold in a law & order state, who have no bearing on social issues.
It's also a place that's ideal to live in. Right next to DC. Live near the metro. Consistant employment. Environmentally and biker friendly. Lots of rec & park.
I use to hate it, but the longer I live here, the more I discover there is some charm about this place, despite the cold bastards out there.

that's a beautiful place to live in.
I myself live in the smog and bum-infested Central Los Angeles.
I hate seeing violence, graffiti, and trash, but here u just learn to live with it.
I would like to live in West LA, or closer to the beach, luckily I'm moving out soon.

Middle of the suburbs, but I wish it were the woods. I don't like traffic or noise. Would love to live far outside the city limits, surrounded by nature. My favorite fantasy would be to live on a ranch or a farm.

i live in the suburbs of San Jose, CA. Its pretty nice here weve got hills and the ocean about half an hour away. I don't necessarily like the people that live here. We have a ton of old rich people and a lot of asians. Im not racist against asians or anything but if you live around a lot of them as long as i do youll know what im talking about.

i'm not really in the suburbs (unless you classify 30-45 miles outside of Dallas the suburbs still) but it's fairly small town 20,000 people or so. it's a town that's got all income levels...we got multi-million dollar homes and we got trailer park. i used to really hate it here, but lately i'm kinda lookin around and realize that this place has everything goin for it...safest city/town in north texas for several years in a row now, it's a nice place and it's home.

ur just a grumpy person...i love asians, except for the fake gangsters or condescending, smart mofos.
Well, it depends what manor i feel like staying at, i've got a choice.
London - City
Essex - Small Town
And if i want to stay at work and sleep in a boat shed i can, so Norfolk - Small Town/ Countryside.

A 400 year old farmhouse on top of a hill 600ft up no neighbours for miles incredible views total peace and quiet when you listen all you hear is silence,
and the occasional chicken/sheep/cow, and little birds singing, the wind wistfuly blowing through the corn as the stream bubbles and babbles complimenting the sound of dragonflys gently darting across the still waters of the pond, little mayflies chasing in the rainbow from the fountain, god ive just realised how lucky I am.

H4H that pic could easily have been taken like 10 mins from my house.
I'm in a small scruffy depressed New England mill town surrounded by the beautiful Berkshires foothills. The area is known for its asparagus, orchards, and Yankee history. I love it here even though my town makes me crazy sometimes.
But I commute to a college town daily and grew up in one. You know, it's important to be surrounded by twits in Uggs and big sunglasses every time I venture out of my workplace... :D

stinky~ another thing i love about my area is the history. believe it or not for being just a little bittty town in the middle of northern PA surrounded by national forest, its pretty historical. my grandma took me to a cemetary that is across the hill in the picture i showed to the north(right). this cemetary is bad-ass, my grandpa and uncle are buried there and she showed me some of the graves...some of them are pretty old and filled with right off the boat irishmen. another neat tale is the bucktails regiment of the civil war was named by a guy that lived in a house thats no longer standing, but the foundation is in that picture i showed. neat stuff
and to all you that live in the suburbs or cities and want to move to the country, do it. crickets, frogs and birds are a lot better than sirens and traffic. also the stars at night are pretty neat as well in the middle of nowhere.

I live in San Jose, California. I voted "city" since there is over a million people here and it's the 10th largest city in the U.S.. But it doesn't really seem like a city though, more like a freakish cross between a city and a giant suburb. We've got all kinds of shopping, concerts, etc but not many big buildings or high rise apartments that you'ld expect to find in a city, just mile after mile of closely packed in houses. Plus where I live is right on the edge of the mountains so we get deer and all kinds of critters roaming around. We even saw a mountian lion a few miles away from our house.

I live in a middle-class suburb, which has a few ghetto-y pockets that are not too far away from my townhouse. I like it. I'd rather live in a college town, but I love it for now right where I am!

don't go to college yet, but i live right next to a college campus and the area is probably 50% college kids. so i guess that qualifies as a college town?
