Today I went to a screamo concert on campus, it was free for me cause I work at the radio station that hosted it. anyway, I was just winding my own business, watching the band, when a group of punk-assed high schoolers start moshing in the middle of the crowd. I don't mind moshers as long as they keep thier distance from bystanders that don't want to get punched in the face. but these kids just break out in the middle of everyone. Lo and behold I get elbowed in the chest by some unknown punk. Now I've got a sore chest and a bruise the size of an apple. Luckily my boob was spared. So ladies and gentlemen the moral of this story: watch your body parts when you are moshing, for the love of god. ouch.

Punched in the face? Screamo?

Sounds like Hardcore Dancing! Not moshing!

Sorry Bizz-bizz, at least the twins were spared.

^^^^^^like i said, moshers don't bother me as long as I don't get hit. As for the unknown person that elbowed me, I'm sure he/she had no idea it happened. I sure as hell didnt see it coming.

People used to be carted off in ambulances when my band was playing.

We had broken arms, broken noses, people knocked out, the lot.

Moshing is great fun - but i agree, they should keep it safe for everyone else at least.

I know that shit hurt...I always keep my eye out for moshers who look particualary dangerous...When they start heading my way they will get pushed right back in the middle hard as fuck...Thats how I does it.

How the fuck is moshing legal, but smoking pot isn't? One is the epitome of violence, the other is the complete opposite...sit back, relax, spark a nice bowl, and chill...rather than jumping into a circle and swinging all of your limbs. I used to have friends that did it a lot, I went to concerts too, but just to watch or to enjoy the music. They'd come out sweating, bruised, and they'd be all happy about it.

Moshing is fun. I can't wait till I gain some weight so I can take on the big dudes.

So what if you are bruised and sweaty. If it rocks, and you get into the music, it's quite an adrenaline rush. You have to accept you are going to take a few hits, and you can't feel angry about it because it's accidental.

When my band was playing we used to mosh with each other on stage - so we had guitars flying about the place and all sorts - our most gruesome fuck up was when the guitarist broke a bit of the wood from the underside of his fret board on part of the drum kit, so the metal fret was sticking out underneath, me and him ran at each other during a solo and he sliced my arm, and i didnt even feel it untill i looked down and saw blood spattering everywhere.

The adreniline was amazing though.
