Question about resin.

i've had my piece for 2 years and have not cleaned it yet? is this good/bad? will the built up resin get me higher than regular marijuana?

Its not a bad thing, nor a good thing. Just preference.
If you smoke regularly, and have used that piece a lot in those two years..you're going to have a bowling ball of resin..maybe not that much.
If the weed you were smoking wasn't all that great, the resin will be a higher high. But if you're smoking great stuff, the resin is just a different high. I know some people who swear they get higher on resin compared to great weed, but I wouldn't agree.

I don't like the high from smoking resin. I usually get really tired, my chest starts to hurt, and I feel like I just inhaled an ounce of tar.

I try and avoid it at all costs, but still smoke it sometimes when I'm dry for an extended period of time.

It is a last resort situation. If you have good bud on hand don't smoke that shit.

I think thats bad personally. It must smell really bad and it impares the taste of beautiful weed smoke. Soak it in hot water then fill it with isopropyl alcohol and sea salt and shake. You piece will look good as new in no time. You can scrape out the resin first and smoke it. It doesnt really get you that high and it smells and tastes like shit. Hey its better than fuck all though.

if your desperate then you can smoke the resin but it is horrible for you. if you put a napkin between your mouth and the end of your smoking device, the napkin will be brown from the shit smoke. one time we smoked resin out my friends 4 foot bong and you could clearly see the brown/ yellow smoke. tastes horribly bad too.

i have to disagree with everyone. i think resin is a bad thing. resin lessens the amount of THC that exits the piece in the smoke, making your regular smokes less potent. this is because resin "collects/traps" THC which means that each hit is robbed of precious delta-9-tetrahydrocannibinols...

some dont mind cause they feel like they get it all back when they smoke the resin. the thing is that it also collects a huge amount of carcinogens... not good for your health or for the taste of your bud.

keep the pieces clean for more effective smokes on a regular basis, less carcinogens, and a better appreciation for the buds flavor.

i would suggest scraping it out, fuck it gets you high so its better than nothing next time your dry. woo hoo that rhymed. i usually regret smoking resin, but than i usually regret throwing it out.
i got a full bowls worth of resin after not cleaning my piece for like 4 months, sooo you should have resin galore, whether thats good or bad i dont know

Resin is made up of tar and cariogens, all the stuff you want to AVOID at all costs unless you want to slowly kill your lungs.
Also, because of the heat of the burning bud, the resin has hardly ANY THC at all.

If it gets people high, good for them - but its horrible stuff and i wouldnt advice anyone to smoke it.

yeah dude thats so weird cause i know resin dosnt have much THC but when i smoked a bowl of it last weed it got me BAKED, more so then 4 bongs actually. i loved it, but lol thing is i gotta smoke a lotta green to get to the resin..:rasta:
