My girlfriend got me a nice iPod for Christmas+Birthday (It's Jan 2nd :D)... She rocks my world!
But my point is, what are the best sites or programs to download music? I used to buy CDs not because I'm law abiding, but because my computer isn't that great. But now, no more CDs for me! Anyway, I'd like to hear some of your opinions.
Thanks!

i use kazaa lite if there is just one song off an album i like
and i use www.bi-torrent.com to download complete albums (you need a bit torrent thing to download off this site)
If u wanna use kazaa lite but cant find it anywhere on the net i sugest downloading the bit torrent downloader thing from http://bittorrent.com/download.html (it's free)
then go to bi-torrent.com and download kazaa lite from the apps section :D (it's all fre :D:D:D)
Hope this helps and is not too confusing :D

not confusing at all, thanks! I used to have the full Kazaa before, but it infected my computer like the fucking plague, but I think Kazaa lite is supposed to be a little better... at least I hope so lol

not kazza or kazaa lite.
I think kzaalite is just a way for kazaa users to feel safe, i don't think it's wot it claims to be.
I'm using winmx.. it's slow, dated, but seems to be virus free so far. (as far as these programs go anyhow)

I heard that Kazaa was full of trojans so before you enter any site for free (i think not ) nothings free.. check your firewall settings...happy listening

i use limewire exclusively
my dial up is shitty to say it mildly
ive found a few tweeks of the settings for limewire that helps those with low bandwidths like myself
i cant share files so i keep my shared file empty,
i move the files out soon as i can,(when they done or when i notice they are)
see you must have a shared file
but it can be empty,so there is nothing to share,
nobody takes up your kbps and you get to download files even if at a crawl
if you had good connection,it be instant satisfaction.
ok
limewire will share every file on your pc if you let it,
dont let it search your pc when it ask during set up
you must CREATE your own folders
for sharing and downloading files you get.
move the files out or they will be listed as shared,
now go thru your options and find UPLOADS
set the slots to '0'
set the number of files allowed uploaded at '0'
uncheck the start up when pc starts box,
but allow it to connect when you start it(limewire)
the chat option check box i uncheck cuase there too many Adults crap shall i say
it has a option to stop that too.
it keeps asking when ya start if ya want to upgrade to PRO
say later and go on

and its faster

The old Kazaa Lite was 100% spyware free.
Use Ares Lite. It's not pretty, but it's 100% spyware free.
That's if you're looking for a gnutella network. And limewire and winmx errmm... suck.
Really, the bittorrent network is way better then any of those. And make sure to have zone alarm ((free version is fine)) set up.

Kazaa Lite K++ has treated me and my system well though... Granted, you can't always find what you want, but I would say I can find about 80% of the music I look for... d/l's seem slow to me, but I'm used to 300kbps...

I use Kazaa Resurection. The slow download speeds of Kazaa does not really bother me because I just queue up 50 or so files to download and leave it running for a few days and get most of them. I also move anything out of my shared folder that MIGHT have any copyright problems.
I use BT for large files.

Is there a difference between supernova.org and supernova.com? I'm considering purchasing a membership at supernova.com, am I making a mistake?

Kazaa/lite has a way of piggybacking trojans, syware, adware, and viruses onto your computer. I use Limewire, I dont think it does, but you should still probaly clean all your ad/spyware at least once a week with something like "ad-aware"
