I haven't had nightmares too recently, but I do remember my dreams and I know that they are pretty vivid.
It's just fear. Maybe you are having a fearful problem in your life or something of that sort.
Only you can really interpret your dreams.
Buy a dream book.
I cant remember my dreams - and as far as i know i dont have nightmares. I can only remember one bad dream i had as a kid - something about a meat clever and me chopping someone up - then getting stabbed in the knee. Strange.

That's pretty morbrid.I don't think anything involving fear is going on in my life. BUt ever since I took a melatonin supplement to help me sleep, my dreams have been pretty off-beat.
Something i always hear people saying is "you cant feel pain in dreams" but when i had that dream it hurt when i got stabbed. It's clear as day, i mean, i can remember this from over 12 years ago.

It's not as bad as in real life usually or I can minipulate the situation before anything hits me. But yeah a few dreams from like 5,6,7,8 etc years ago I can remember for whatever reason. The thing about lucid dreaming, it's like whenever I am about to feel pain(because thats when I KNOW i'll feel the pain) I'll turn around and imagine I have a shotgun and whatever is about to hurt me is a few feet away, and it works.

suprisingly, my nightmares have kinda of subsided.... a few months ago, however... i was ravenged by them.. horrible fucking dreams.... those ones you can feel (and i don't mean physical pain... the emotional pain) of my wife leaving me, sometimes because i'm an idiot, sometimes for someone else...
but they are nothing compared to seeing my brothers face everynight, and watching him die a diffrent death every single night... seconds or inches away from saving him, and i just can't... everynight, reliving the same feeling and emotion of when my mom told me he was gone... i was terrified to sleep... even taking 10 sleeping pills to go to sleep, i would fight it.. not even consciencely... my body or mind would find something to keep me awake...
cramps outta the middle of no where, pain in my eyes from having them closed... restless thoughts, mostly of being scared to go to sleep... i was in hell.. a literal living hell... it's bad when you're afraid to go to sleep just from nightmares...

I get them sometimes, maybe once every 3 months or so. Some of them have been so vivid that once I woke up, pouring sweat, pzale as a ghost, and I ended up getting sick. I don't know if it was the meal the supper before and the really, REALLY sick dream that I had. I care not to repeat as they are very disturbing at times.
A lot of the times though, after a bad dream, my anxiety comes up and cannabis is the only thing that calms me down.
Bad dreams suck, but hey, what can you do. :)

I once had a nightmare where i was being chased through a forest at night by two assasins who had already killed my family and friends. That s**t was realy intense. The only thing i had to defend myself with was a piece of f**king tree branch. I also lost one of my fingers, i can't remember how that happend though.

I had some really bad, vivd dreams last fall when my sister was at her sickest and in the two months following her death. Other than that, nightmares aren't part of my normal experience. Hadn't had one in many many years, if what I had back then could be considered a nightmare. I mostly just have pretty ordinary dreams, nothing too scary.

Ive had nightmares pretty regulary since some events occured in my childhood, they arent frequent about once monthly. It sucks though calls after a nightmare you think about it all day.

That supposedly means that someone you know will die.
I always lucid dream, nightmares or regluar dreams.
I can sometimes wake myself up if I get too scared.
Other times I'm just suffering thru it.
I have atleast 1 nightmare a night (I wake up frequently)

I love nightmares. It's like, "Whoa, I freaked myself the fuck out." Especially when their lucid, it's awesome, the things you can do. Once I had a dream about Hitler and it was one of the weirdest dreams ever, I woke up and was like omg.

i rarely have nightmares but when i do, they are very intense. about 3 days ago i dreamt that the world was ending and everybody was freaking the fuck out running down the street. then it kept getting hotter and hotter while people's head would swell up and explode all over the fucking place. so i'm standing watching everybody die and i feel it happening to me. knowing i was about to die (or thinking so anyways) scared the living shit out of me, and just as my head was to asplode, i woke up drenched in sweat.

I have that dream ALL the time! But I also get really bad dreams ALL the damn time. Probably 5 out of the 7 days of the week. I have no clue why but their VERY vivid. Lately it's been about zombies b/c ive been thinking about the new 28 Weeks later film I saw but before that it was about dinosaurs...like Jurrasic Park....yeah stupid but at the time in my dream i'm scared shitless

hmmm well i go through periodic bouts of dreams. for example, I will have several dreamless nights for up to a month at a time then for a few days to a few weeks I'll have vivid dreams nightly, sometimes two or three dreams in one night. Every once in a while, say once or twice a month, I'll have a nightmare. Now most of my dreams are wildly vivid and emotional, I can remember them very well and have continuations of them later on and even incite a desired dream before i fall asleep. most of my dreams are either extremely surreal or extremely realistic and involve me in the first person trying to run away from or catch something or some kind of goal. my nightmares almost always involve me running away from something.

i had a dream where i broke my hand. my hand actually hurt and i couldn't use it in the dream. when i woke up my hand was squashed between my knees. i've also had dream with pain without having done something like squashing my hand
