My roomie never graduated high school and is now realizing that he can't really read that well. I told him I'd download some programs or something that can help him with his reading comprehension. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks alot.

Dusto.

Don't know any programs, but I can tell you that he should read stuff like The Warriors, Great Expectations, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc. etc.

How bad is it? What level of reading is he at right now?

i dunno he was just saying that to me tonight. I don't even know how to really tell. Maybe like 7-9 grade i would guess. I know that a big gap, but..

edit:L he said jokingly during convo that "its bullshit, i need to improve my reading...it's bullshit it got like 2nd grade reading and shit." but i know it's not 2nd grade. He's down there trying to read a conceptual physics book.

Recommend the books I said. Even Eragon. When he reads those and understands them, go for LOTR books. Even try Harry Potter.
