yup you'll just have to show them your medical records of taking anti-anxiety meds...

i also forgot to say that i have ADD and take prescribed pills for that too. do u think they would deny me because it might make my ADD worse?

i think its going to depend on the kind of doctor you get

To be brutally honest, most "cannabis specialists" are in it for the $. They don't give a fart whether you have a medical problem or not- they will give the recommendation for darn near anything (or nothing). A few of them still have ethics, though. But if you have even a minor problem, you'll get the recommendation. If you have REAL problems, it's just a matter of bringing in your records and paying the nice doctor! Cali- gotta love it! - Granny:hippy: (legit medical user, and darn happy about it!)

storm crow is pretty right on; i got my card on monday in san diego from dr. jimenez (1888-xxx-herb or something, he's on canorml, which is where you should be looking for a doc)

anyway, i had a lot of records, from chronic lyme disease, pain, insomnia, all sorts of stuff, but as soon as i walked in the door he was basically writing the scrip

really great guy, and if you're in socal, go see him. it was relatively cheap; only $100 total, which included a $25 pre-qualification online

he may be in it for the money, but seemed to me to be a very good guy, and a quite highly educated doc; i could tell he'd probably write the med scrip for anyone with any documented condition, and for your documented insomnia, for which you've TRIED OTHER MEDS, i'm pretty sure you'd be a slamdunk

actually gave me good advice on my condition and how to avoid charlatans preying on the chronically ill; he was telling me that a big part of what he does is to sue groups that prey on chronic pain sufferers for their money

he also gives out a little wallet-card type thing that is another piece of documentation to give to co-ops or the police if need be

seriously, why wait? go do it, man; it took hardly any of my time, and by that night i had called up a delivery service and was smoking some great medical herb

so go for it, you'll get it no doubt, and if you're in socal, jimenez is the man

quite the opposite; i do believe that cannabis can be a treatment for ADD, or atleast ADHD

anyway, i think the big question is the one you haven't mentioned, how old you are? i'm guessing you're young

as long as you are not mildly retarded and can do some very simple internet searching you can find about 900000000000000 doctors in the greater LA area that will give u a recommendation with no "documents" or evidence of prior medical conditions (other than what u tell them lol) honestly stop waiting and go get one...

ah, i think you'll do just fine; my experience was EXCEPTIONALLY easy, quick, and freakin awesome baby :) being a med patient is fantastic and i intend to stay a med patient for the rest of my life, or until mj is legalized fully

on another issue: the mj has helped my pain quite a bit, i'm still learning how to use it to help my pain, anxiety, insomnia etc. while still remaining alert and capable when i need to be; i'll tell you this, i love cannabis, and i've learned very quickly that all the propaganda about it taking over your mind and life is such incredible bullshit; this plant is going to be part of my life and my garden forever or until i die, whichever comes first :)

ps: don't pay more than $100 total; Jimenez is in LA on certain days and he'll do it for $100 (have to do $25 pre-qualify online, very easy); so either use him, or anyone else, but don't spend more than $100; i called another CANORML dude in OC before i went to jimenez and they were going to charge me $200, so don't overpay, you don't need to; i don't know other docs but i don't think jimenez wouldn't deny you unless he had to by law for some reason; don't mean to advertise, and perhaps i shouldn't shine light on anyone in this semi-shady job, but i really liked this guy
