What is wrong with my plants????

There are white spots on the larger leaves on my babies. What are these from? How can I make them go away?

I'm worried that they are sick and they are just babies :(

I will try. I took 7 pics and those were the best 2. My digicam is 5.1 megapixels too lol. Guess I should use autofocus. Will do this afternoon.

I was just thinkin the same thing doco. ;) I agree with Chrissy about the mites. Get rid them fast a they can take your plants down in no time. I use Fox Farms Don't Bug Me....not sure if I would use it on seedlings though. Something safe for seedlings.....ask your nursery guy (tell him it's a tomato plant) :thumbsup:

I checked under the leaves for spider mites thinking that's what it was but didnt see anything. I will take another look though. I have some spray for them, but will check with my local hydro shop if the formula can be used on babies. Thanks for the help. I'll get back to ya guys soon!

pyrethrin spray? Hey are most sprays ok for seedlngs?

No... I would not neem seedlings until they are old enough to be fed, because of the stickiness of the residue, but pyrethrin is fine- you should always do a test to see if there is going to be a problem- even grow out some shit bagseeds to abuse :D

So Pyrethrin spray is ok on seedlings? I don't want those little bastards to ruin my baby!

I would certainly do as Stinky says and test a small amount first....I used some fungus spray on my plants and overdid it big time.....should say on bottle whether it's safe for seedlings. ;)

Pests can certainly destroy your seedlings so they need something asap....:thumbsup:

I have used a few different pyr products on seedlings and it was fine but not all are the same... weedhound, that wasnt the 'fungicie 3' that comes in a green bottle was it? That's neem! It's sticky shit.

Actually it was Serenade that I used but one thought.....Brand new bottle and the spray itself had a brown tinge....I remember the spray being pretty clear on previous uses....maybe I didn't shake it up enough or something.

I have Neem oil and some stuff called SMG (used it last grow for SMs). I also bought some stuff that is supposed to open up the plant's pores to absorb the pest killer stuff. Is that not advisable seeing as how it's a seedling? I'm going to call my local hydro shop too, since I bought it from them and see what they think.

Serenade has to be shaken. It's a living beneficial and SHOULD come out brown. Also it has a shorter shelf life than a chemical- be aware that it does not work if the b. subtilis culture dies of exposure to heat, etc. Keep it in a cool place.

Ok, so I just took a good close look at all 4 of my plants. First, I noticed that none of the other 3 have these spots. Second, I looked under the leaves that have the spots on them and they did not go through the leaf, rather, they are only visible from the top of the leaf.

What does this mean? Are they just burns?

They will soon. You need to get that shit taken care of before the little bastards have a chance to breed and spread. They probably qlready have... the life cycle is 4-6 days... spots should be appearing soon, don't worry.

We shall see. I didn't see any eggs on any of the leaves, the only thing I saw, as I mentioned was what looked like burn spots on the tops of 2 of the leaves. No more spots have appeared and it's been over 7 days since I first saw the spots and posted.

You won't see eggs, as the female deposits them into the meristematic tissue of the plant, rather than laying them on the surface as mites do. But that is most certainly not a burn.
