I wanted to scream they were acting like weed was as bad as crack saying a bunch of bullshit and now im 16 and im done with high school. Now i don't know where to go with my life now. I think you can take your GED when you are around 17 but, I am not exactly sure. Once you have graduated (or gotten your GED) and you can support yourself, your parents can't really do anything about it but, you have to be able to BE responsible to live on your own. It is harder than you think.

But it is not the end of the world! Get your GED, go to a community college and get your AA degree! Employers will respect a good GPA from college rather than your "youthful indiscretion" that got you kicked out in the first place. My son has a GED, was home-schooled for grades 10-12, went to the local community college for 2 years and now is the computer tech at a local school.

Private schools WILL take you- if you have the buck$. Or should I say, if your parents have the $. (You should hear about the behavior of some of the kids at our local private school! As a tutor/teacher's aide- I hear it all!) Unless you're upper middle-class or better, I think the GED route is a better way to go. You will be done with the high school scene, and in college before your peers. (they may even think you're some sort of "brain", going to college so early-lol)

Now you will have to really bust ass and prove to your parents and to prospective colleges (get your butt to college) that you can make something of yourself.

Dude, if you went to public school they have to take you back. My buddy was caught with an ounce in his locker in middle school and got a 1 week expulsion. People at my highschool would get caught all the time when they brought the dogs in and they'd be gone for a couple weeks and be back. I don't see how they can kick you out of school forever.

First of all, weed didn't get you expelled, you got yourself expelled for taking marijuana to school with you. Not smart. Leave it at home? Finish school, do what you're supposed to so that you can get your life started...be RESPONSIBLE. First step, don't take illegal drugs to school, that's one of the easiest ways to get caught.

Man, I made alot of bad decisions when I was younger and I was kicked out of many schools. I wouldn't take it from one guy telling you that you could not go to any other highschool. I am sure there are ways around it if you really wanted to go back and I think that is a great idea for you to pursue. I have my ged and it's not all taht great man, you really should try to finish highschool somewhere else cuz you will probably regret it if you don't. I go to a private school and kids have been caught smoking weed at school and have not gotten expelled but only suspended and had a bunch of detentions. Private schools care more about you than public schools do. If you apply to a local private school and explain what happens they will probably let you in if you say youre determined to work hard because you want to get into college.

I cleaned the gun then I put it in my locker... I got called into the office and there was 2 cops a sarg and a detective... While I was in the office someone got my gun and gave it to a the cop... I got expelled from school but,,,nothing else ever came of it except that the cops stole my 38...

Dude just get your GED. It was honestly the easiest test ive ever taken in my life. And its the same as a high school diploma. High school is bullshit anyways. If i were you i would look at this as getting a head start on your life. If you get your GED then you can go to community college to get your associates degree. And then switch to a university to get your batchlors. Thats what im doin right now. I start HCC in the fall and in two years I plan on transfering to UCLA. Private schools definitely do not care more about students. Maybe it's because of the funding, but when I switched to public after my sophomore year I was amazed at how many programs and how much the teachers actually cared about your work. I admit my private school was a piece of shit regardless, but all private schools I've come across are just in it for the money.

Public schools are a lot more bureaucratic, though.. and they have standards and political correctness that they have to adhere to. And I'm pretty certain that the public school system cannot disallow you to attend school. If there's another public school in your district I'm almost certain you can attend it.
