I have enjoyed reading the useful examples and sharing the stories of cultivations celebrations .
How cool is it to see such growth from little seeds. They spent the first 65 days under the sun. Then I brought them inside for some 12/12 magic time. 8 days in revealed BOTH plants females. What are the odds with that HUH ?
Started adding honey their water. Sensimilla :hippy:
The female flowers are awesome to see. Especially on our smaller plant. It??s basically 21x21 with 6 beefy stems. We think it could be:D Indica:S2: Based on the fat leafs. My Second plant is like the opposite over 36 ?? tall .not counting the pot/ root structure . Just 22 inches wide with 8 main branches and double with off shoot tops. It has become all stretched up ward. Perhaps Sativa  Thin leafs.
My CONCERN is the converted footlocker /plant box only measures 72? height and 23 ?? depth and 36 ?? wide. I have over 12,000 lumens of HPS supp ling the energy
IT is getting too hot where I live and my plant space is getting up to 92 degrees !!!!!!
Dare I remove them to a cooler place like outside under the shade. Will the change of light add to my budding issues. This might sound odd but I have tried placing frozen water bottles in the locker to help drop the temp. Which works.. I sure could use some ideas on my situation . Thanks  J.

I happy to report The MYLAR I ordered on line arrived today. 50 " x 25 '
No more party balloons. Wall to wall light reflection.. NOW will it screw up my 12/12 cycle if I bring them out at say... dusk. Does the flower process mainly deal with the light / dark aspect or as I have been told The RED light makes ALL the difference when force budding.. Let me know My growning buddies. Tell me will exposure to the sun light during 12/12 shock or hamper the flower flow..Just gotta know so I can continue to grow...

it shouldnt hurt them just dont interupt the dark cycle so they still receive 12 hours darkness.

Yeah, just dont muck up the time schedule they're on.

It seems to almost double the brightness of the light.:smokin:
It is very interesting to note the two distictly different growth patterns. These plants are the same age. Yet 2 weeks into 12/12 has caused the short plant to really develop preflower pistils. I am concerned the second might exceed 6'. It just keeps on streatching. If 9,500 lumens isn't enough light :( I wanted 400 watt HPS lamp.. Given my area I just figured that 4k per plant could be enough !! STill adding the honey water, miracle grow and colorburst 15~30~15 . Another 45.. 75.. days.. :pimp: The 2 plants: seem to be on different schedules.

i hope your grow box is not still 92 degrees because that is way too hot. you will seriously hurt your harvest with such hot temps, you might even make a hermie. cool it down, get a cool tube or air cooled hood pronto.

as for the stretch, it might just be the flower stretch. plants can double or triple in size during flower depending on the strain.

it's hard to tell from the pics but they look healthy enough. if they start to get too tall just tie them down some or put a screen above them to keep them out of the light.

Well The weather temps have cooled down high 70s to mid 80s.
That is a big load off my mind. It was a bit crazy placing frozen ice pacs and Frozen water bottles in my Growing box to avoid fatal stress or causing my 2 ladies to morph into hermies.. I am sure the 3 days of heat had some negative impact to what degree, That remains tobe seen, some wilting leafs. Still seeing more and more white hairs. The smaller plant is really showing the makings of bud tops. My TALL girl is still seemingly reaching for 6 ' :jawdropper:. If some stains double or tripple in height..:error: :weedpoke: Lesson Veg period. Well another opportunity to be creative with my hemp twine. How to encourage 6 main tops to bend sideways for the good of the bud.. Then ALL the lessor branches .. Would it be a crime to ... Dare I say.....:( :beatdeadhorse:   cull out the weakly sub-branches.. So That I have 6 or 8 main stems.. I could use some sage suggestions.. Visons of cola buds dancing in my head !!:D
foot note. I added another special plant to my bud bungalow. Its only about 5 " tall with 8 internodes. To make it fit in an already wall to wall green box?? I transplanted it into a 2 liter soda bottle. Got it hanging on the inside of the door. We will see if IT hangs in there or not. Need to be careful incase it's packing male DNA. Not welcome to my ALL FEMALE party..
Any thoughts on me adding a couple of black lights I have. Anyone ever try?
Well I am gonna go check on my girls. Peace Buds...

One final Pot headed question.. To initiate flowering aka buds blooming you need to trigger the plant to produce the right hormones. 12/12 does this.. REGARDLESS OF LIGHT !! Ok I mean HPS or SUN Light.. MH is ideally for VEG. well and of course there are other specialty grow lamps.. IS that basically accurate ?

05-11-2007, 08:36 AM
Actually, ive grown several crops from MH alone and it still grows killer bud. HPS is preferred because of the light spectum is "warmer." (reds, oranges, reflects the autumn season) I have found that using HPS alone has given me bigger yields but no quality differences. Natural sun light vs. HPS light, I don't believe should reflect any huge differences. The only thing to be concerned about is that the plants when moved outside will receive proper lighting. I.e. are they in the shade or full sun, for how long in each during the course of the day. OVerall its' worth getting them outside to get fresh air since you don't have a proper ventilation/cooling system setup. If you can't vent the air out, have you thought about a portable ac unit? Do a search on the net for one. Kind of pricey ($300-500) but it can lower by 20-30 degrees. Just plug it in and vent the air into another room or through the window. If I was you I would do both, (ac unit) and a vent fan with a can filter for odor control. Heat will seriously fuck up your plant believe me! Anyway I wish I could grow outside some day not having to worry about all that shit. But then again i don't feel like having a cell mate named Bubba:D .
Happy growing.

Thanks for the info.
I to long for out door freedom to grow. I am banking on a cooling trend as well as keeping hourly temp checks on my girls. There is another location available but it involves an area more than double my current space. I think my 100 watt HPS light would lose efficency. You know smaller area , smaller light seems brighter. I wonder if there is a minimum light that will still power up buds.
Again Thanks for the response. Its always better to share..

best of luck mate, have you thought of LST, tie them down, your grow space looks pretty cramped it might hep to get some light down to the lower bud sights and increase your yield, only a thought! well good luck again:thumbsup:  ;)

Pardon my lack of savvy as it pertained to lingo.. LST ?
In an effort to better allow light to reach the base of the plant I wedged a couple small twigs between some congested foliage.. I can see the light penetrating better. Should help .If the Heat doesn't destroy everything first. 92 degrees again..

Hello happy hump day er??s... :giggity::giggity:
Just trying to keep my thread / plants blooming..
I have resent pics. ::S2: : Let me know what you think.. :twocents:
It would be cool if a Pro grower :apachecopter: could comment on the 2 different ladies. :hippy: WHEWW WEEEEE That does = Sensei . Maybe offer a clue to species or genus .. To me they are Female versions of Laurel and Hardy.
Short and bushy one double the height and 4 x the tops.. Also # 2 has large thin leaves and # 1 has shorter fatter foliage.
It seemes for being cramped quarters, they are resonably healthy. more light needed. I place in 2 cfl warm hope it helps..
I used small twigs to help open # 2 to allow light to penetrate..
I have fantasy of cola stocks the length of the plant ALL Bud !! And PHAT !!
Am I having a wet dream or are these young ladies headed for greatness..:hippy::giggity:
This my first attempt growing for Bud.. So I needs to keep my head on.
Well my buddies??.. :jumphappy: Share some nuggets :baggy::baggy:of insight so I can bubble :smokebong:them up deep into my mind !!! And Expland the confinds of my Consciousness :beatdeadhorse::error::what:

Added red LEDs to my GREENBOX..
My Girls are looking lovely and oh how sweet the smell. I figure atleast 45 to 60 more days of budding. I wish someone would offer up some suggestions on how to turn my flowers into PHAt buds..

Well I am here to share so...
Oh I have asked this before.. LST does that stand for leaf and stem training as in using string or other binding means to effect a benificial controled result ??

LST stands for "Low Stress Training". Beyond identifying the acronym, I'm too much of a noob to comment on the process.

Thank you PharmaCan,
Now if I can get some knowledge on " LOW Stress Training " that would benefit my concerns with limited space. My bad really. These two developing ladies need everything possible to help them reach full potencial.. Potency ...
On one hand I am wanting to try my hand with clones here as to continue the
legacy. Rather then a final harvest.. LOL I dont want to end their beauty..

what's up green lovers...:hippy:
I am jazzed to see the trichomes busting out from my tops ...
I only have a 10 x magnifying glass. But they are so visible..
Wish I was able to show them..
Wonder how long till they begin turning cloudy..
I figure there is still much time ahead. My mex sensei is so sweet smelling..
The other bush has distinct physical differences. Even the tops are MUCH larger.
The leaves are almost a blue green rather then the light green of mex sensei.
Still delighted my ladies have come this far...
I will see about picking up a mini micro scope for a better view of the trachoma??s.. Hope someone other me is getting a kick from my posts...:woohoo:
Still waiting for the other green growers to kick in a bud to share, knowledge wise ..:hippy:[attachment=o137251]

hi anna? good job on the pic thing, pharmcan helped me out in that area too, by reading. lst is the tying down of your plants branches to let more light in to the bottom of the plant and also keep your plants from getting too tall. you would definately benifit, you could lower your light and get brighter light on your plants. i have a 150 hps and it seems to stretch a little too. though i can keep the light within 6 inches and not be concerned so far. the light being closer should help your buds out and though i have no personal results i am trying molasses in my soil to add microbes and bacteria and the added punch of sugar to fatten up mine. they are only in flowering for a wk. so i dont know the end results yet. this thing cuts me off so ill ad a link if i can in the next post.

and it wouldnt be terrible to remove some of your lesser branches off to focus the energy on the better ones.lets try this again, trying to add a link. i cant seem to add it but it is by bluebear here on this site. 3lbs about molasses or something. sorry.

hey, yeah i do have pics, but dont have an ac cord for my camera. saving up for one, but its about 30$. i will definately post them when i get it or find someone with a pc that will accept the camera chip. i got 2males and killed them but i did save the pollen and 2 girls a little over a week into flowering. they actually look similar to your growth pattern. this is my first time indoors but i have grown this same variety 4 times outdoors. im doing an outdoor grow this yr too with 1 confirmed female and 2 of unknown sex. i think they are female though because i started them indoors and i put them outside before the light was long enough, they were showing but have reverted. i hope i dont get hermis, but i wont complain if i do.
