On saturday I went up to Northampton, MA and saw my favorite band of all time, They Might Be Giants, play the best venue in the WORLD, The Iron Horse music hall.
It was such an insanely good show, and I'm still feeling good.
So, I would say the last concert I went to was the best. Followed closely 2nd by The Gossip a couple years back at The Living Room in Providence, RI.

I saw Bright Eyes last night. So that was it.
The best was probably Cursive, any of the five times I've seen them. I've been to hundreds of shows though, so if I think of one that was better, I'll come back to the thread.
never been to a concert :(
blues traveler played around me last year on memorial day at some little festival, but it wasnt a concert. saw a few songs by them, that was cool. going to see 311 and matisyahu soon.

It was a far stretch from what I'm used to with Bright Eyes, in a really good way. Andy Le Master on bass, a five piece string/woodwind section, the gals from Sleater Kinney playing drums together, and then of coarse the normal line up of Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott. There were a total of 13 people on stage. Really a great show, with a really complete set list. They even played the Calender Hung It's Self, which was a huge surprise.
Have you never seen Cursive before? No matter how high your hopes are for them, they're going to destroy you. They're not only the tightest, well rehearsed band I've ever seen, but Tim Kasher is a personality like no other.

That's really cool. I'd never thought the gals from Sleater-Kinney would be drumming with Bright Eyes. Awesome. I would've love to been there!
Nope it'll be my first time, and damn I have real high hopes. I'm only going for them, well I wouldn't mind seeing These Arms Are Snakes.
Tonight, I'm seeing The Album Leaf tonight, and tomorrow I'm going to the chili cook-off to see a bunch of bands, Jet and Buckcherry, and some radio bands I never heard off. My friend bought me a ticket, so might as well go.

And I'm seeing The Clientele tonight!
the clientele play a pretty great set. they sound even better than they do on album.
the last show i attended was acid mothers temple at BAR in new haven. it was awesome. for their last track they all sang "and shes cliiiimBing the stairway to new haven" in their broken english. it ruled. next event coming up is "the fucking champs" in wallingford.
last one I saw was Public Enemy in my home town, best was probably Radiohead at the Sziget festival in Hungary...i think im about to go see damien marley in a few weeks so that should be fun

I actually had mixed feeling on the The Clientele. I don't like their new stuff at all, but everyone they play a song from Surburban Light or The Violet Hour, it was unbelieveable, but when they did their new songs, it sounded bland. Overall pretty good, but not the best I seen.

PRIMUS in November at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom.
Fucking amazing, even though I got sucked in...and fell...
But I stayed in the whole time unlike a lot of some of the guys. =P
Really close to the stage.
Actually being able to make out Les was awesome.
Then we went to Denny's and my Primus tattoo-d lip best friend Casey slept over.

God, I am so mad. They switched the order, and Cursive performed before Against me! Because of traffic, I missed Cursive all together, I was so infuriated, I took it out on all the kiddies that were there for Against me! and Mastadon. Mastadon, I was surprised, they were pretty good. But I wasn't there for them!

bright eyes
i also had the chance to see ween, but unfortunately was sick that night :(

Yeah that's what's cool about festivals...I think I have a copy of that show too, and yeah, it was good.
If you're ever in the midwest the end of May, you HAVE to go to Summercamp. It's a festival moe. and umphrey's put on in southern Illinois, and it was SO fun this year...and funny enough their Saturday set it had been raining nonstop for Claypool, then as soon as they take the stage, the sun comes out...ahhhh.

the last concert i went to was this free concert my college put on, they brought in T.I. and Young Dro, but it wasn't that good of a concert. small crowd not really into it, t.i. wasn't really into it.
however, the thing that redeemed the concert was that it was on 4/20 of all days, lol, so i ended up having a pretty damn good time that night. that was the last weekend before final exams, too, so it was the biggest party weekend of the year + 420 + t.i. concert, so all-in-all, it was a GOOD weekend.

Last concert I went to was Heaven And Hell with Ronie James Dio (first concert back in 14 years) and Megadeth. Both were pretty amazing, and Megadeth was just amazing when they closed with Holy Wars!
The best concert ever was definately seeing Iron Maiden at Ozzfest. Out at night on the grass, and a performance where I have NEVER seen that much energy and just shere.... well awsomeness, lol. Then we saw Black Sabbath with Ozzy. Ozzy's voice crapped out yet it was the best thing that could have happened, as Tony Iommi just went off into the most crazy 20 minute psychadelic solo I'd ever heard.

Page France/Chris Garneau, what an awesome show. Small club, fan friendly, I met the members of Page France afterwards. I overheard them talking about a strain of bud before I went up to them, I'd figure they had to get stoned to write such great music. They're coming back to DC on the 22nd and I can't wait.
I recommend the folks out there who like dreamy folk music to check out Page France. Listen to the album Hello, Dear Wind.
