Ceiling light fixture question

I have a light fixture that is inteded to go in a ceiling and be wired in, but I was wondering whether it is possible to wire it to a chord that can plug into the wall.

yes just go buy a plug at HD and wire the black to the gold screw and the white to the silver one
make sure the circut has GFI
