Awesome, my hometown band is getting known across borders! I use to go to high school with those guys, and had my share of tokes with them.

A friend of mine turned me on to these guys called 'groundation'. They are completely awesome. Another good one is '10 foot ganja plant'. They too are the bomb.

Matisyahu.

Anyone like him? My friend got me into him, and I think he's pretty sick. Deep dude. And he's got a little hip-hop in his music, which makes it that much better.

Majek Fashek is a really nice sounding reggae artist from Nigeria, he has done a cover of hotel california. I like the Marleys and Steel pulse as well. Stephen Marley has some real good material coming out lately.

Where did you hear about them from? I seen them live over the years, started playing at parties, they kept moving up. It's crazy to comtemplate that they have fans in Canada now. Wow.

I seen them a number of times over the years, in bars, and they kept moving to bigger venues. I wondered for a long time when they'd become appreciated, because today, they're really one of the best reggae has to offer, some good ol' whiteboy dub. lol

In a interview Beanie Man was asked who was the biggest thing in Reggae, he answered "right now in Jamaica that would be Yellowman, but if we are talking about Dancehall that would be me" loosely quoted
He has done some good Dancehall, but when I say Dancehall I am talking old school, like 80s. Dancehall has evolved into more of a hip hop sounding form of music, which Yellowman is not..

and for my list I'll list a few good "roots dancehall" artistes I listen to
Fantan Mojah
Queen Ifrica
Sizzla
