ok, first impressions

ok, i smoked for the first time a few weeks ago, and wow am i pissed off. This shit is illegal? Ok background, i am white middle class, grew up with the D.A.R.E. and all that shit in school, both my parents did drugs and were open about it once i grew up so i had some exposure. But wow weed is amazing, it's wonderful but in now way should this shit be illegal, now i understand. before i smoked i always thought "oh drugs, yada yada drugs bad" but damn, i would group weed w/ alchohol, which is legal, long before i would put it w/ cocaine or heroine or any other illegal drug. this is just bullshit. So now i understand, you are not a bunch of "stupid lazy stoners" but informed individuals of which i am now one of.

1 down, 6 billion to go. It's amazing how easily we are to influence, whether it be external or internal. DARE strikes young and deep, similar to those spirituality nazi's who force their children into beleifs so deep and biologically confined that they have no opened mind, but a programmed concept of reality.
Wouldn't you want your own concept of reality?
This idea scares organized religion. It takes away all of their control, and strikes anxiety into the zealot hearts of herd behavior.
If we took organized religion and mythology out of history, and somehow gave them the scientific method at the dawn of humanity, we would all be growing shrooms out our ears, be in complete harmony with ourselves and nature, and probably have a global mental health averaging that of buddha.

Because we smoke weed people look down on us and discriminate against us - for what? Like you said, it's no differnt to someone drinking a beer - apart from is more enjoyable than being drunk, no hang over and we can still control ourselves, not to mention it's much safer and stoned drivers are in less accidents than drunkards.

The drunk driver speeds though a red light into a field killing an innocent cow eating grass.

The stoned driver waits for the light to turn green, laughs and stick his finger up at the drunk idiot who's got a cow stuck in his car.

your next step is to understand that all of those other illegal drugs are not evil either. because of MJ's harmlessness it is the most glaring example of the stupidity of this war on drugs, but it should be understood that the entire concept of a bad drug is ludicrous. the government's entire drug philosophy is based on the worst case scenario and is nothing less than a slap in the face to those who would use drugs in a responsible manner.
