High Folks

Just joined go easy please

Ok here goes Im not new to homegrown infact Ive been at it a tad over 3 years, tried nft (424 & 901) also dabbled in compost with some mixed results.

Now for a question on how I can make better use of the grow equipment I have to hand,I only got the one space that measures 13ft long six wide and a nice height of 7feet,so theres plenty of space.

For lights Ive been using 1x600hps and 2x400 hps intake is a 6" fan drawing fresh air in from an open window (blacked out) & extraction consists of 2x5" fans with carbon filters.

For my next grow (cindy & nycd) my clones are nearly rooted so it will commence as soon as they do,with this space ive been waisting alot of lumens because of the room size,it works out about 76 square foot and theses lights just aint no where near sufficient, dont get me wrong I can produce enough personal weed, just think I could be doing better and getting better results.

I plan to veg the cuts (15 all in) in a 3" square pot for a week to 10 days pot her up to 6.5 ltr squares for another 2 weeks then finally on to their final pots wich are 11ltre squares, once in them I,ll leave them till roots are showing at the bottom then switch to 12/12.

Any suggestions folks on how to make better use of my grow area would be great,Id really much appreciate it,and hopefully grow some better bigger buds, till next time be luck & happy growing, any questions just holla and Ill do my upmost to reply asap!

you could buy some black and white poly and drape it from the ceiling to cordon-off the room into sections

Hello there Postman thanks for your reply chief....It,s good to be here mate.

Right down to buisness that link mate Ive tried it and cant make head nor tail of it,it gave me a reading of 36square foot with my room reduced to 6x6x7 leaving me a fare old space for a veg/clone room,so thats a result, what about my lights you rekon a 600+400hps,s would fit in there and 2x5" extracting either outta another window,or I might change it this time and extract thro my loft (its above my growroom),keep the suggestions coming folks,Ill start a diary once Im up and running.

The 600 watt and 400 watt would do you that (according to the grow tool )would be 28 watts per sqft.do you know the cfm of the fans ?this recomends a fan with 85 cfm and with carbon filter and ducting a fan of 165 cfm.best of luck be safe the postman.

Hi mate once again thanks for your patience,I aint to bright with numbers & calculations, been up and looked at my fans, nowt on them, looked for their manuals, god knows where they are..probally roached.

Checked where i got them from and from memory my 6" intake is a lti rvka1 and I think 6inch=125mil

On that it says 420 hahaha the gods are shinning! 420m3/per hour

My extractions are 2x5" so thats = to 2x100mil...I think?
and they both shift 275m3 per hour each x2= 550m3 per hour...or have i got this wrong lol..I do apoligise rather mullard this end,as always thx tho I appreciate your help.
