i dont know if this has been posted, but google came up with this idea to give out your adress information and an actual map for it, all you gotta do is just go to google.com type in your number with an area code, and they show you the results. Its cool in some way, but then there goes our privacy.

Yeah I did that. I requested for it to be taken down and it did though so I guess it's fine.

how do you punch in your number? I want to see if it has mine. . . It might be only if you are listed.

Yea, you've been able to do this for a while now actually, but it's no big deal. Like orangeman said, they'll privitize for you if you wish.
It doesn't work on cell phones anyway and thats all I use so no worries here. :)

Ahhahaha,,,the bacon has already been here and left a ton of stinky fat behind...
I thought google map was satellite that worked all over the world... the gas station next store has cars parked in different areas than the map so I guess these are old images that are pulled up... I wonder what controls the image taking,,,I would think the program is old enough to have covered every inch our our planet...

when I put my address in the arrow pointed to the street in front of my place... so it goes by street number and not land and house...

the reason that some images are blurry and some aren't is because the images are taken from statelites from private companies. Those private companies sell the images to the government and then the government publishes them. The government has almost every place but they only request images in areas they want. For instance the White House is going to have a much better/updated picture then hicksville out in the middle of Alabama. Some of them will even be in Black and White. Also, it's hard to take these pictures. There has to be almost NO CLOUDS in the sky.
Alot of the very detailed stuff is actually done by planes. It's only the main view that's done by sattalite.

This only works if the number is published and listed with the phone company. It usually only pertains to landlines, not cellphones. Most of the cell providers try to keep their subscribers phones numbers private for obvious reasons.

The images are taken about every 2 or 3 weeks. Like i once searched my house,
And it showed me and my friends hanging out outside, i remembered that was like 2 weeks ago. haha!
