Ron Paul Rides High In Polls After GOP Debate Prison Planet (http://prisonplanet.com/index.html)
Friday, May 4, 2007
Ron Paul is currently riding high in the polls after last night's GOP Presidential debate, jockeying for first position with Mitt Romney and ahead of both Rudy Giuliani and John McCain.

A major MSNBC poll currently has Paul at 30% approval, compared to Romney at 31%. McCain and Giuliani are at 21% and 27% respectively.

Several readers tell us that Paul shot ahead in the early stages of the poll, and this is verified from an MSNBC news clip last night in which Keith Olbermann states Paul has received 39% of the vote.

Fox News claims (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,270076,00.html)that John McCain won the debate and that Romney also did well because he is "handsome" and spouted rhetoric about "God and country." Ron Paul is the only real candidate talking about real issues and he is also the only contender who is not completely bought and paid for by Neo-Con warmongers.

That's the part I like about Ron Paul, that and his freedoms for individuals thingy, his drug policies, or lack of drug laws. The things I don't like are his contention that everything would be better off privatized and that privitization would make this a better country and that private charities would take care of the poor, sort of like 16th century europe where there were beggars in the streets. Take a look at Corporate America if you want to see privitization in action, Greed piled upon Greed, there is never enough profit and greedy CEOs are cutting costs (Jobs) to maximize profit so their cut goes up. The max privitization is the main thing that holds me back from libertarians, No safety nets, no controls on polution, no unionization, no workers rights, no medical plans, just the individuals right to do as he pleases. Sometimes individuals do things that fuck over a lot of other people subversly, like eliminating polution controls, or job safety regulations. I'm not for a nanny state, but letting the corporations run roughshod over the land and people will not make this country a better place to live, unless you own major stock in the corporation, in otherwords, Libertarianism will benefit the Rich, and fuck the middle and poor even more than the Repubes do now.

he's just not communist enough for the big government neo-cons though...which is why he's not being supported by the big mainstream networks...oh well, sometimes we have to be lied to, to keep us safe from the freedom haters i suppose...

Come on, do you really believe one man can change this entrenched governmental society that is now ruling us, Get rid of the federal reserve, he'd be assassinated within the first year of office, if he lived that long. The money boys are not about to let some upstart pragmatist change the status-quo. You are dreaming. He'd be lucky to get MJ legalized, let alone reform the tax code and heaven forbid, stop the wholesale buying of congressmen by lobbiest. Dream on.

I have a feeling that Ron Paul would be assassinated if he was ever elected President because he is not one of the "guys".
