I made a really awesome gravity bong for 4/20, I just hit it and it works REALLY well so I figured sharing how I made the bowl airtight, simple method. It was either this or saying "dude i'm so high... what?"

Supplies:
- Bowlpiece: For this, I used a metal bowlpiece from my local headshop. They cost around $3 for me.
- Bottle: For my construction I used a juicy-juice container, although there are undoubtedly many other suitable bottles. You need the cap to be thin enough so you can complete the melting process listed below. It also needs to be wide enough to accomodate the bowlpiece.
- Lighter
- Scissors

Construction: (Pictures below)
1) With your lighter, begin melting the middle of the underside of the cap. Not much, but enough so that...
2) You can begin piercing the cap through with the scissors.
3) Repeat step 2, spinning the scissors to bring the hole slightly smaller than your bowlpiece
4) melt the cap once last time, and melt it enough so you can barely push the bowlpiece through the hole. The plastic should solidify against the bowlpiece.

There you are! When you push the bottle into water (if you're making a bucket) the air should whistle out through the bowl. That's how you know it's airtight.

Notes:
- The cap will burn slightly. Just don't inhale the smoke, besides that it's fine. You won't be burning the plastic when you actually smoke out of it.
- Do notice you are using a lighter and scissors, so please don't attempt this if you're too inebriated. I don't wanna be sued :(

Anyways, I hope that might help someone, send me some feedback and tell me if you found this helpful.

Here are the really bad paint picture-guides, I am the worst artist ever so feel no need to remind me

there are easier ways to make airtight seals without burning anything ( squeeze caulk, candle wax etc)

but if u made put up some pics

I don't have the materials to do caulk, and candle wax sounds a lot harder...

Anyways, I'd love to put up some pics, but I own no camera : ( Sorry

Good stuff, A friend of mine and myself did something similar on 420 to make our bong, Except we had to heat up the end of some rubber hose to get the bowl to fit in there. Then we packed that shit and bubbled it through the water.

It's a Sobe bottle bong, it's sweet.

Apples can also be airtight. Or melt a cap around your bong slide... that works damn well. Chewing gum is also a great tool.
