Ive gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks!!! Holy crap! It's just that when i'm high I eat, and eat and eat! I just have no self control when im high. What should I do? Who else has this prob and what do YOU do about it. The munchies are the only bad thing I have to deal with when I smoke anymore....Ugh...I don't wanna get chubby!

fruit, egg whites, nuts. oh and popcorn (non-buttered) isnt that bad for you either.

I wish there was some other way. I love junk food. I just dont get to eat it very often. Good for you food isnt bad though. Especially strawberries. Grapes are good too. Since fruit is sweet it can help solve cravings for sugary stuff. I also drink chocolate milk a lot when I smoke. I get the 50% less sugar kind. Its a good chocolate fix but you're also getting the healthy stuff from milk. Yogurt is also good but you cant eat too much of it.

Yeah I love fruit, like Pineapple and grapes. Its such a pain in the ass though when your high b/c you don't crave all of that good stuff. You crave Burger King and Pizza. *sigh*

Pineapples and grapes are loaded with sugar. Pick your "smart" snakes carefully.
Also, do you exercise regularly? If not, you're most likely going to put on the pounds as you get older even without the herb.

LMAO. I'm with the rest. Snack right and you should be fine.
Besides, a little chub is good. I can't speak for the rest of the guys, but I like a woman to be able to take what I'm dishin' out without breakin a hip. I've seen girls that I would snap like a chicken bone in bed. No one wants that. :)

actually....anything sweet, or high on the glycemic index, will increase your sugar cravings ten fold (fruit, carrots, starches, etc)...when you are hungry, have a snack higher in fat and protein, the fat makes you feel full......you should read up on atkins..it will teach you how to eat right, and not have these needs...i never eat sugar or junk food, starches, potatoes, etc...and i dont miss it at all.....there is a way to have the food and weed, you just have to know how your body works and what it really needs when it talks to you, i guess...or, like higher said, have some self control....
this is a helpful site, give it a look....you can see exactly what you are putting in your mouth, and track how much you are burning off, etc...

yikes...gum is BAD.....it has carbs, for one, and for two, it causes cravings.....
i also forgot to say to drink water...lots and lots of water..especially if you have gained some weight...it will flush it out in 2 days or so, and your weight will come down a few pounds..usually when you gain that much weight that quick, it is the carbs holding the water you have drank, and salt...
also, avoiding caffeine helps...one other common thing that causes the need for sweet foods, or other bad foods...

im the same way. im not huge, but i swear id weigh at least 15 pounds less if it wasnt for the munchies.
I'm the same, i eat and eat and eat. I'm about 14 stone, although alot of the wieght is in my legs and upper body. I reckon i've only got about a stone of weight that i dont need.
Chewing gum is no good though, you'll confuse your body so it'll make more acid, giving you heart burn and it'll make you even more hungry.

I agree a bit with the basics of atkins (starches and too much carbs are bad), but fat is quite bad as well. Don't eat a bunch of bacon and junk like that. Fat is fat and too much will allways be bad. Especially the fake ones in stuff like margarine. I like real butter :)

I doubt you're exercising enough to burn what you're eating at the moment. You are responsible for your actions, high or not, you can't blame the 'muchies' for everything and in my opinion anything. Do you play any sports? I would do that if i were you, but i've never heard you talk about sports so i dunno if you like them.

we are only allowed certain fats and a certain percentage per day......enough of anything is unhealthy for you...it works quite well...we have the fat to curb the appetite, and you need fat..but too many people think we can eat bacon and sausage and pepperoni all day....it is like anythinig else, all in moderation..

From what I could tell, here's my advice:
- You need a balanced diet. All these diet-type things are OK, but really in the end it's just eating normal amounts and good stuff. This means you need carbs, and fats, and protein. As for fats and carbs, I really think what kind they are might help. If the fat is unsaturated and/or naturally occuring, and the carbs are natural starches and sugars, awesome. If you're eating lots of trans fats and lots of corn syrup (I truly believe these two things cause lots of... fat) that's not good.
That's not to say you can't have any. So, sure, go ahead and go to Burger King once or twice a week. I look up the nutrition info on any place that offers it, I've found the fries are the big culprit. Cut the fries and you've killed half the problem right there.
Cut down on soda. I need to do this but I'm having trouble >< Anything with corn syrup for that matter. I personally drink lots of milk, you should be able to find something. You don't need to eliminate this stuff completely unless you want to be a meatless zombie, but as someone stated, girls look better when they've got a bit of substance and look healthy.
Oh, and exercise. I know it's a bitch, but as someone else said, you'll be unhealthy even if you don't eat a ton. I watched a Penn and Teller recently (Have you seen it, Rebgirl? I know your political views are similar to mine and I like this show, don't agree with everything but it's interesting) and a guy being interviewed said fat people who exercise are healthier than skinny people who don't. That about sums that up. Hope any of that helped.

hey the same thing was happening to me... so this is how i handel my weight now... first of all when I am high .. . I try to not look at the cookies and stuff.,... sooo instead of eating fatty fooods...../... fill your self up with apples, grapes, and straw berrys or any fruit... which taste good and I am pretty sure you cant get fat off fruits... so yea... yesterday i ate like 6 apples and shit load of grapes lol

Yeah I recently lost 55 pounds. So yeah I excercise alot and I watch what I eat. I'm 130 pounds now and i'm 5'8". Its just that recently ive been going to Burger King alot. It's no biggie really. I just smoked and all I had was the serving size of Light Pringles.

Throwing up? that's not good. Neither is starving yourself if that's it. Those are the only two unhealthy things i can think of to keep off weight.
I usually dont get munchies off of weed, but when i get wasted(alcohol) Chanellos is at my fucking door with twenty two damn pizzas every time.

Here's a few suggestions to avoid bingeing on junk food: Eat negative calorie foods (only have those food items within your reach, no other temptations), examples are celery, lettuce, spinach, etc, or V-8 fruit juice if you can't stand any veggies (salsa and low cal dressing goes great with anything if you like it, especially if you're high), quaker rice cake snacks (the flavored ones ROCK, I recommend white cheddar), coffee, hot chocolate, hot teas (hot drinks soothe your stomach and make it feel more full), count 20-100 seconds before eating and really think about whether you really want to eat all that junk food (then maybe you might decide against it), and finally you could be like me, a vegetarian with an okay metabolism who eats sweets (but not any meat) more than regular food. Haha. That's all I got...let me know if you take the advice and if it worked! :)

I'm sorry to hear that. :( Unfortunately, that may be part of the reason why you're gaining -- it could be a metabolic thing. It's good that you exercise, though (that should give your metabolism a decent boost), as long as you're not overdoing it. I totally agree with the healthy snacks advice... go for things that you won't feel guilty about eating. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water (if you don't already) to knock out any dehydration-related hunger.

yeah eating before smoking really works for me. if i start eating high i just eat and eat and eat until my stomach hurts and im on the verge of vomitting. sooo i eat before hand and try to not to eat again until im somewhat in my mind and can control myself

I have had that problem before went up a few pounds then worked it back off down to my normal weight, just get high and workout/run without muching i know its hard but it payes off :jointsmile:

Ive lost 10 lbs on addy and lack of sleep I used to work out 3x a week and eat more than enough but then with the end of school coming up it all went to shit. I ate once today only and that was about 330 calories

Yeah but I just lost 50 some pounds recently haha I dont wanna be chubby again! Thats frightening to me! But I have found a solution. I went out and bought some pineapple, some carrot sticks, and for dinner I had salad and chicken..I guess ill just binge on good stuff haha not as good as burger king but oh well :thumbsup:

I used to have the same problem and I would munch out so hardcore. There is self control, but like it has been mentioned, eat healthy snacks. Apples kick ass, so do oranges, but not as much as pineapple. Man, that shit is so good, plus you can hollow one out and make a bong out of it. :p

I smoke mad buds, and i somehow manage to retain my abs and pecs and not chubbiness... Just use your brain. If you cant control yourself, its your problem, not the buds.

we just feed our dog less and no treats. try adding some trimspa to the food.
my dogs gets glucosamine, asprin, fish oil, brewers yeast, and some stuff to not make her stain the lawn from urine.
its a big concoction to feed her breakfast.

Clubs,raves,school dances, whatever. If you get out once every week or two and dance for 3 or 4 hours, you'll burn a lot of calories.

or, try getting high after you work out or just ate and you probably wont be hungry. or if you have something to do when you are high it helps. i notice that if im getting high with a group or going to do something after i smoke i never really think about being hungry, then the only craving it causes is water for that dry mouth, but when i just smoke by myself at home i feast and cant stop till i fall asleep
