Too bad it's a "FUCK IT" mentality that's creating most of that bullshit...

I'm more of a PLUR person
Peace Love Unity Respect
I believe if those values were more lived by, there'd be a lot less BS in this world.
Some call me a hippy because of that belief, but I see it more as sheer optimism

yeah actually i do... and my wife is the exact opposite... she's the type of person that worries about every single little thing... i guess it equals out in th eend... i have the fuck it/w/e attitude, and she has the have to worry about every single little thing attitude...
she gets way over stressed tho, i tried to tell her awhile back, to realize when things are out of her control to just say fuck it...
i guess some people just have the ability to have that fuck it carefree attitude, and others don't.

i dunno how your life is, but in mine, more then half the shit i see as 'bullshit' is completely out of my control... it's useless to let such things get to you and cause you stress... cuz all your worrying about certain things does, is add stress to your ilfe.... it doesn't fix the problem, it doesn't help the problem.... YOU can't fix/help the problem... (there are certain things you can change, and there are certain things you can do nothing about but live with it... and those are what i'm tlaking about...)

lol lately i've found out that just saying "fuck it" is a good way to go to get through most of the bullshit but not all of it. For instance this attitude toward school probably isn't a good idea, however if you brake up with someone just say "fuck it" and keep on moving.
A majority of homeless people have used that phrase in their lifetime. I'm headed down that lane. I say "fuck it," without even realizing it most of the time. That's deeper than a mentality if I'm not even aware of it. I have a "fuck it" soul.

I think a lot of bullshit could be more under control, but for people's attitudes. It's really easy to get sucked into a pessimistic "there's nothing I can do, so fuck it" mindset, I won't say I've never been guilty of it myself.
And nah, I don't mean people should go stressing themselves out by worrying over every little thing, I know I don't.
But I still stand by what I said, and think the two biggest reasons that this world is so fucked up are: A. Greed. and B. An 'i don't give a fuck' attitude.

i disagree. i dont think that attitude is one of the biggest reasons this world is fucked up. theres no way an attitude can have that impact on the world unless it was adopted by everbody and taken to extreme measures. to each his own tho. agree to disagree

oh i agree, and that's why i distinguished between the two... the fuck it attitude should only be applied to matters out of your control... i agree there is alot of 'fuck it' attitude wrongly executed.... say a crack dealer that goes to jail... so he couldn't get a job in a couple of weeks like he planned, what's he do? fuck it i can make money selling crack....
your girl finds someone else that shew ants to be with, what do most people do? stress out over and try to keep it going... that's where the fuck it comes into play... you can't make her love you, and to make her stay with you, just cuz you love her (but she doesn't feel the same) is actually wrong...
tha'ts what i mean by matters out of your control.... you're in control of your life... but sitting there worrying about what others think of you at your job, or your girl that left you for someone else is completely and utterly pointless... you can't change either, and all worrying about either does is stress you out... it doesn't help or change it... just puts more worry and stress in your life, when just general living maxes out the humans ability at dealing with stress/worry....
the fuck-it'ers who never do anything, are much diffrent from the fuck-it'ers (including me) who realize when somethings outta their control and worrying is doing no good to them or the situation at hand...

Passit: Well, more the actions (or lack of actions) that are reflected by people's attitudes.. but yeah, fair enough if you don't agree. :P Just my :twocents:
Slip: Yeah, I gotcha. And I agree totally. Makes no sense to sweat the small stuff, but some people just take the 'fuck it' mindset a bit too far IMO.
