BLAH!! I may have already made an angry post about this, I don't know...but I'm really frustrated!!!

I got poison oak like a week ago and it has now spread to almost everywhere! I have it on my shoulders...my neck....my stomach...my back...my upper legs...my ass....
It's freakin' everywhere!

Last year I probably had poison oak like half the freakin' year...
I REALLY don't want this year to be like last...

Goddammnit..I sure hope this isn't the beginning of the end.
:(

The END?? :( What are you using on it? You must be pretty sensitve to it. Sounds like a real bummer. :(

I'm not using shit on it.

It's so lame..I never even got poison oak until I was 17 years old! I could fuckin' roll in it as a child and not get it...

Now I can touch the dog and be covered in it.

If you go in the woods, my advice is to get a shower when you get home, because thats how you get it real bad, because its on you and you dont realize, and spread it all over yourself.

I do believe that is a huge part of my problem...

In fact...I probably am still wearing the clothes I have the oak on..and don't even know it.

I am lucky I guess...I am immune to it.

That shit can be very nasty though. I have seen some bad cases of it.

That is part of my problem too..I was immune to it until my later teenage years....and now I get it like no other!

I never really got into the habit of being concious of poison oak...so now I really suck at having to look out for it and shit..

Yea, referring back to that story i told, the reason I got it so bad was because I wore the same jean shorts 2 days in a row... because it wasnt really obvious that i had it yet, then bam, i was screwed.

YEah, one of these days, I am not going to be watching for it and BAM, I will have it everywhere. You should try some calamine lotion, it works pretty well.

Well Tallulah we might as well kill each other at the same time.

I've got that shit all over as well. My arms and ass are the worst.. it sucks so bad at night when I go to bed I can't stop scratching it !! (My ass skin is so soft I can't stop rubbing it). ;)

I've been using some Benadryl cream for a while and it seems to be getting a little better. I've heard that hot showers were bad, is that true anyone ? Because it certainly seems so..

Good luck babe ! We shall heal and defeat the ivy

Lol funny you mention it, cuz poison ivy is starting to make its presence known on my body as well...

I usually get it at least twice a year, so it's nothing new, but still, it sucks because the only thing that gets rid of it is pills from the doc. The lotions and the oatmeal baths only help up to a certain point, but usually the areas are so gross and oozy nothing helps but a shot in the ass or pills.

Good luck to all that are infected. ~

I missed 2 weeks of college- during finals, no less, that was a pain- with severe poison ivy and had to go on oral meds for it.

For small rashes, I actually use Absorbine on it (it's actually horse liniment but you can get it at walmart). It is a bunch of herbal shit dissolved in acetone, and dries out the rash while soothing it. Might be worth a try.
