Hi all,
I mentioned that the PH level of my soil was 6.1 in another thread and I was told I should be between 6.5 and 7.5.
Someone suggested that I add a little baking soda into my water. How much should I add?
The leafs are starting to turn a little light in color, and some of the leafs have this tiger like pattern on them. I want to fix this ASAP, please advise as to how much baking soda to add per gallon and any other suggestions. THANKS!!

Soil too low > too much acidity > flush.

Yes, to neutralize the soil. You've got too much acid in them now, probably too much nutes. Flush. Not that I think your ph sounds too bad, though. Any PH problem should probably be started with a flush anyway.

Flushed. Now what? No nutes for a while?

Well, check the PH again.
You can buy both ph Up and ph Down.
Neutral ph is at 7. Cannabis like a little more acidic, e.g. lower ph.
Other posters here use vinegar or lime to increase acidity and thus lower the ph, or baking or soda powder to make the soil more alkaline and thus increase the ph, but I'm afraid thats not my field of depth.

are you useing a soil based medium or soil-less medium reason i ask i found out recently that a mix of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite is considered soil-less which made no since to me but followed there advice and switched to a lower Ph of 6.5 as i was watering with water Ph to 7.0 and since switching a few weeks ago my girls are now growing quicker and bigger faster as it could be the start of a magnesium defiance or iron defiance just depends on the type of medium you are useing

Using a 50% perlite mix with a 50% organic soil mix.

Your PH sounds perfect now. Let the soil dry out before next watering with nutes.
