on a regular basis. It can take 6 months post infection for your test to show up positive. If you get a yearly physical it wouldn't be a bad idea to get tested once a year (or more often if you engage in risky activities). Even if its not HIV other STDs can kill or make you sterile if you don't get them treated.

FYI - the local health unit is saying the strain of HIV he has is really rare, but now there is an unusually high amount of cases of this particular strain in our area. Just imagine how many people will eventually get sick and die because of this one sociopathic murderer.

You definitely CAN get HIV from receiving oral. We don't want a rumor to the contrary to take hold here.

And Lazy, the reason condoms cover the whole penis is that a cap alone wouldn't stay on during intercourse. Think about the forces and shapes at work there. A cap just wouldn't be safe enough. And it's not just the urethral opening that needs covering anyway. It's the entire penis. If there were a tiny, microscopic tear in the skin somewhere along the penis, that could be an entry point for the virus (or myriad other STD infections). And other STDs like herpes can inoculate the skin and not just the urethral opening.

I'd like to personally give that creep in the story a lethal injection . . . .

I'm right behind you bro!!! Just for some advice though, wearing a condom is just one steep of being safe. You can still get STD's after sex with using a condom.Alot of people think you only get STD during sex but if you dont remove the condom properly then you can still get infected. Meaning after use you shouldnt just hold the tip and pull it off that way you can get the virus over your hands and infect your self. The condom should be rolled down NOT pulled off. That way the infected surface will not be incontact with you hand. Be safe this shit is real and you never know who has it, most people dont even know they have it until synthoms start kicking in.

I know at least in Canada, knowingly having unprotected sex while you know you're HIV positive is definitely a crime. In fact, there are people who went to jail for it. Actually, look up the name Trevis Smith. He's an ex CFL pro football player who did just that. Thankfully, the girl didn't end up getting HIV, but he still went to jail.

And don't forget, HIV isn't the only STD out there. Syphillis is making a big comeback and you can get it from oral sex as well as regular, so ALWAYS use a condom!
