is there any easy way to do this? im a total nightowl, so its impossible for me to get to bed early. its already 10:30 and i work at 4. im trying to smoke myself to sleep right now.

seriously it isnt natural waking up that early. total zombie effect.

I used to have to do that. 4:00 EVERY morning. Then I joined cannabis.com,and learned how to beat that damn drug test keeping me from my dream job. I choose my own hours now! Not to rub it in, but I DO feel for you. I've been there. And it DOES suck!;)

ughhh I hate getting up early. Id rather just stay up until my appointments and then crash when i get home. I just cant take my meds and get up. I have to plan out at least 12 hours.

the only reason is the manager that usually comes in at 4 on mondays has been at another store for a couple months, so im stuck doing this for another month or so.

its terrible.

Hey!

I'm in the exact same situation myself. I feel your pain my friend. Don't know what to tell you, except for one thing that you probrably don't want to hear:

EXCERCISE! Running, jogging, biking, weight lifting, etc. All make you SLEEP better. I know you don't believe me, but TRY it!

Good Luck!

If you have a hard time getting up at that hour, how about going to sleep as soon as you get home from work, and waking up whenever you wake up, and then staying up until you have to go to work? Kinda like closing-shift bartenders have to do...

ya good point, it will throw you off a little maybe but you will get used to it :) my buddy, who worked the third shift stocking a grocery store, did that

haha no. its just a certain shift, its actually when we get shipments in and they need someone there who knows how to get everything set up and all this stuff.

when you are lying in bed, tell yourself what you are doing.
yes, it seems silly, but if you arent thinking about going to sleep, you will fall asleep. you can still think about other thoughts, but tell yourself every 5 seconds, "I am falling asleep to wake up at 4 am"

it seems like this may not be necessary, but it IS.. the brain is going through 10k thoughts a second, so how else would you expect to remember your trying to go to sleep.

EDIT:
and ALWAYS say the repetitive sentence in a positive way. I AM falling asleep. I WILL wake up tomorrow at 4. it works everytime.

Hey man I'm in your position right now! Just keep your eye on the time at all times. Ive started setting alarms so when your chilling out and your pocket starts vibrating and you see a message that says,"Go to bed asshole!" always helps. Good luck man
