This is how I would explain it:

You get a buzz, and you feel like you're looking into reality from another corner of reality that no one else sees unless they're stoned and you kind of feel like you're not in the sober reality but you're still functioning in it. Would you guys agree with that?

(Of course, no matter how anyone explains it the only way to know is to experience it)

Copied from an old post explaining to a newbie how it would be:

The high can be like this: after a lot of coughing, you start to feel your body is relaxing... your eyes feel like closing a bit, your head feels heavy... you think "i think it does not worked... everything seems SO normal"... and then........

..................oooooowwwwwwmmmmm..... suddenly things become VERY weird... you blink and then "what i was thinking a moment ago?" you forget... you notice the world seems "plane", the vision has lost its depth... the colors seems SO brighter... you can notice minute details of everything around you... like youre seeing the world for the first time... everything seems so new... then you notice a lot of sounds into your head... they are just the sound of things around you, but they seem much louder... and you can percieve details of sound you never realized before... listening music is an awesome thing while stoned...

time slowed down to a snail pace... seconds feel like minutes, minutes like hours... you thoughts are racing... you think a thing and it makes you thing about another one, and this one makes you remember about another one, and so on... you think millions of things in minutes... probably you start laughing madly at this point... everything seems SO fun...

One day, when i have enough patience to sit down and write down all the history of my first time, i will make a better and more detailed description. While this day doesnt come, the description above is the best i have.

I've seen threads like this before....but....It's like everything is a little brighter, your brain feels either a little slower or faster, you feel light pressure on your body(but it feels good), music sounds way better and intense, actually everything is a little moe intense, food taste great. Depending on how much you smoke the effects are intensified, and the type of weed you get may change the effects.

feels like your whole body, inside and out, is supported by a layer of soft cotton. and that cotton lifts a viel off of your eyes and all of the sudden you see and understand things that you normally dont. but in order to make room for all these new understandings and thoughts, you have to put that veil elsewhere. like over your ability to solve complex mathematical figures.
you float around in this buzzing layer of soft cotton, new and beautiful and sometimes scary things meddling about in your brain.

Your attention span is broadened, so that it is more difficult to focus on a particular object. Perception of time is altered, so that one minute may seem like 10 minutes. Also, gigliness.

In comparison to alcohol; Alcohol makes you feel different, cannabis makes you feel good.

i believe what it ACTUALLY does is helps to connect the mind, body and soul. So instead of just one part of your brain reacting to your stimuli (ie, your reality), it's ENTIRE SELF reacting.

EDIT: the different perception of time comes from being aware of the current moment. This happens when the mind and soul are corresponding-awareness can be achieved from meditation as well

The ultimate in relaxation and comfort.

I dunno man...you just...get lifted. You're not low. I'm not low.

Everything's groovy and music seems to make your ears orgasm, gettin' down to that internal beat.

It's like a fun adventure, each and every time. ~

It's like everything is the same but better. Sometimes a little hazy. Makes you feel relaxed, possibly paranoid if it's your first few times toking. It is hard to explain it though with out getting them to do it!

It's impossible to accurately explain, Everybody's perception of how they feel is different because what they consider normal varies from person to person.

I usually describe it as a lack of attention.

Well when I get high some how the better side of me comes out and have very very awesome complex thoughts or very very funny thoughts. Also my body feals as if its falling but yet I am not falling and also everything is just a lil bit heavier. Music is just even more awesome than the sober reality and I hear stuff in the music I would never hear before. Also the song that is 3 minutes long and I am listening to it and smoking at the same time the song seems to be going on forever but when the song is over the song feals as if it only lasted 30 seconds. Also my vision stays the same but gets different... like high vision which I have a very hard time explaning and the only true way you can tell what high vision is like is to try cannabis your seld but in another way i could say everything changes in you vision as if you think you are looking at an old motion picture film that skips frames but at the same time everything looks more complex. Basically I would say stuff like that to some one who dosent know what its like. I pretty sure theres alot more I would explain but I am tired and too lazy to keep thinking about it right now... but maybe if i had some sativa bud... i could write you a whole eassay on the high of cannabis lol.

Really hard to explain But.

You feel extrmemly relaxed, your muscles wil relax to the point that you sometimes cant feel them.

You hear parts of every day sounds you never heard, Music is absolutely amazing.

You will think about the most every day things in great detail, And think about them in the weirdest ways, You will think about all kidns of weird things and get all kinds of theories etc on everything.

Everything seems a little slower.

If your a beginer or havent smoked in awile, you will laugh at anything, and things that really are funny will have you laughing like never before ( to the point you feel like you cant breathe lol )

Youl be pretty hungry, athough some people dont get this.

Yu could watch a movie straight 100 times and it would be boring
You could watch a movie high 100 times and every time it would be different to you, and you feel like you are in it and it seems so real. hard to explain

Video games are awesome you feel like you are in them too.

EVERYTHING IS BETTER ON WEED! AND FUNNER!!

Youl NEVER forget things that happen when your high, you will remember them in vivid detail as compared to other things when your straight.

Idk i tried lol

I disagree. People understand lethargy, euphoria, hunger, and excessive hilarity. People can imagine this combinaton without using drugs.

I think drug users like to think no one can imagine a sensation without experiencing it because it helps us to feel as if we are part of something exclusive.

It's so hard...
I guess i'll say life as we percieve is like finding moves to a chess game.
Being high is like looking at those moves from different sides of the board.
Everything is much deeper and profound.

depends on the strengh of the weed which determins the high, you can feel nice relaxed or you can feel like your ill and got flu where you cant move and just feel totally wasted, but i think it all depends on the individual.

Well... they may imagine it, but its completly different than "understand" how it feels. I can describe you how tastes some food, describe it like sweet, crunchy, etc, but the imagination will never can be compared with actually tasting the food.
And this descriptions are limited. Being stoned is another complete state of consciousness, like dreaming, or being awake (sober), and we only can describe parts of it. The complete experience have many undescriptible (sp?) components, just because there is no words created to describe such feelings, so all we can describe is that small part of the experience that can be understood in terms of daily concepts.

I'm pretty sure B6 is B6 no matter how you look at it.

The absolute position yes, but changing the side of the board youre looking from, and therefore changing the point of view, can made you aware of new ways to understand the game, new angles. Viewing the game from the viewpoint of your adversary, you can understand better your own weaknesses, for example, and try to fix them. Or looking far from the board, to have an overall view of the game, and so... there is a lot of examples...

That was awesome. That is how it feels for me sometimes. It changes. But that is my favorite. I can put everything in a different perspective. I love mary jane:)

Time never stops but your perception of time is slowed enough to appreciate things sober people can not appreciate. One is always in control. The face and body feel drowsy, eyes blinking slowly, i am still typing while experiancing this very high. I can hear every note to 'time stops' I am one with Jah.
