Using bud for cloneing?

Can u cut off a branch from a tree thats already buding and use it for cloneing??

Yes but older woody branches are hard. New branch still green and limber works better. Just takes a little longer to root and go back to veg. My bro has one with funny one leafs coming out till it gets back to veg good.
