Went TOTALLY blind =)

So, yesterday I had 2 spliffs with a friend up the park. Decent stuff, not sure how much was in them exactly but I've definately smoked more before. I was well rested and all that, only thing was I hadn't really eaten for a couple of days.

So, I'm having these 2, and we're both decently :stoned: :hippy:. We decide to go to subway and buy some sandwiches. We take this guy who doesn't toke along, great guy, much love to him. We walk there, and I'm feeling great, a bit light headed but thats it.

We get there, and I grab a bottle of Dr Pepper, start swigging it while we're ordering (rib sandwich :D ). I'm halfway through ordering, and my vision just GOES. From totally normal to just bright whiteness in 5 seconds flat. I try and finish my order normally, not cause a scene, but I'm absolutely fucked.

I tell sober guy to finish ordering, stumble over to the wall, feel my way along and end up sitting on a table. It takes about 10 minutes for me to be able to see at all, and 20 minutes for everything to stop looking like a television with the brightness turned up WAY too high.

Weird thing is, I felt totally fine. No headache, no sickness, nothing. I just couldn't see. I smoke weed most days, and I'd not even smoked that much this time; I've never had any visual effects before. What gives?

That happened to me the first time i got high. I'm guessing not enough oxygen to the brain. thats wierd tho how u didn't feel light headed. I can't remember if i was lightheaded at that time.

Anyways were ppl staring at u when u came down from ur blindness?

oh...maybe the CO2 from the soda caused some sorta reaction in your brain causing a depletion of oxygen. thats gotta be it. I stay away from carbonated drinks when i'm real high.

Place was pretty empty, couple of people there when I lost it but they'd cleared out by the time I was alright again =P Apart from that was the serving guys, but I'd been sitting down for ages like I said, so it was life as normal when I came to.

But I'm pretty sure stuff like that tends to keep first time smokers from smoking again.
I went ahead and smoked again the next day, cuz it made me more interested.

The same exact thing happened to me once, I fell wicked hard a few times while I couldn't see, and when i finally got sat down for 10 or 15 minutes my vision turned slowy from blindness to tv fuzziness to finally my normal vision

Thats fucked up man...if my vision suddenly went then i imagine i'd go absolutely nuts and panis all over the place...cant stand the idea of losing my sights...

Sounds like fun. I passed out on a mate in maccy d's when i was 14 and he fell over with my wieght and knocked himself out on the floor. They called an ambulance and everything and we was just stoned - he didnt even have a cut - although i supose you gotta be careful with the ol canista!

i lost my vision durring a massive panic attack once... just kinda faded out... like you ever fainted (namely from blood loss, or almost fainted from blood loss) it was exactly like that, but i never lost conscienceness..... i was completely awake, and aware... i just coudln't see, my vision was totally black.... i had to feel my way around, i felt my way to a corner and sat the fuck down... my vision didn't come back for like 10-20 mins...

it was obvious something was going on too.. i was drenched in sweat.. it literally looked liek i jumped in a pool with my clothes on... i was also really fucking white, like WHITE WHITE.... sheet white.... paper white... and shaking like i jumped in a fishing hole in alaska...

ok so... i looked like someone who poured 3 gallons of white paint on themselves, and jumped in through a fishing hole in alaska and crawled back out....

That sounds pretty fucked up. I know I woulda been freakin out if I couldn't see for that long.

With that said...

There is a technique that I use sometimes when hitting the bong. It is hard to explain what I actually do, but the effect it causes is for me to black out for a few seconds.

What I do is I just hit the bong like I would any other time. And then when I pull out the bowl and inhale, (I dont know what it is I do next, theres just a certain way I hold the smoke in I guess) which causes me to slowly lose my vision, causing blurriness and ultimately a black out (which I'll hold for a few seconds). Then I just exhale the smoke and I am back to normal.

But I have no idea what happened to you.
