Anyone ever seen them before? I'm at a middle America latitude, but I saw them once after a large burst of solar energy in 2005... I saw mostly reds, but it was still cool.

They're on my list to see before I die! This'll likely mean a trip to Alaska in the wintertime, and I'm sorta cold-natured for that. But I have them on my list. Looks like the coolest sight.

I'd love to see them, I think it would be beautiful, eating cheezburgers and watching northern lights.

The only NL i've seen is what i've grown, but maybe one day i'll witness both at the same time.

I have seen them in the Bering Sea from the deck of a fishing boat, in northern Vermont from a cleared hillside, and in Sunderland Massachusetts of all places from the parking lot of a redneck bar with more sleds than cars outside... and guess which ones were the most intense? lol!!! We were all completely in awe. They were pink and green.

Those northern lights looks awesome. I have never seen them before. We do have something similar here in California and it is called a Green Flash, it pales in comparison to the northern lights as you can see from the pictures. But it very elusive, I have watched hundreds of sunsets from the cliffs in San Diego overlooking the pacific, usually smoking a fattie, but have yet to see it. One of these days, maybe I will see both.

I'm in WI and have seen them many times. Usually in November. It's really awesome to see like when you are way out in the woods at night. They streak across the sky. It's Awesome.
