I read, or heard somewhere a few years ago that a person can change their identity, by going to the library, finding someone in the old obituarys who is close to your age, and use their name. You have to get one of those pre-paid credit cards, then use it for a few month, to actually become that person. I have tried to find some information on this with the internet, but I just seem to come up with information that I dont trust "sell pitches." I have to get my record cleared so that I can find employment. Nobody wants to hire me even though my record has been expunged. My fucking life is ruined, but im not ready to give up yet.

Their is more to it than that bro you need to get a fake birth certificate with that name on it.Once you have that you can apply for a social security card using your fake birth certificate or you can try to get fake SS card. But using a pre paid credit card wont make you that person you need other ID ..good luck bro

Hey flyable, not to be rude or anything but out of curiosity: What specific charges were brought against you that is making getting a job so hard? I have two friends with just single misdemeanors on their records but they have been able to find decent jobs without too much trouble. Just wondering...
It's not exactly easy to steal someones identity. You need alot more than creditcards - not to mention the person will have a death certificate wont they?
Seems like aload of bother for nothing. It cant be that hard to find a job, otherwise EVERYONE who's been in your shoes would be jobless. Just keep looking.

incredible one. I was arrested for a rape 11 years ago that I didnt committ, but I was young and scared of going to prison. I had a crappy lawyer too from that same town, they told me that if I would plead guilty to assault, then they would put me on probation for 5 years and after that they would expunge my record. I think all the employers see is the rape charge, and because I plead guilty to a misdemeanor. I must have done it. Im so tired of having to explain that I didnt do it, to these employers, because all they see is that I plead guilty of something. Most of them have never been in that situation. So they dont really believe its true that you can be railroaded on false charges in a small town. They arrested me almost a year latter after the person (who had just gotten out of a mental institution) accused me of rape.
This same town in arkansas was on the t.v. show "unsolved mysteries." My cousin "Jim Lankford" was married to this cop who was having an affair with another Piece of shit pig. Making a long story short...My cousin ends up dead. it was made to look like a suicide, but there was no gunpowder on his hands from the pistol that he supposedly used. The local authorities tried to cover it up. The FBI stepped in and was trying to investigate his murder, but the house mysteriously caught fire and burned to the ground.
Its not only the fact that I cant get a job being the reason I want to get this off my record. Its embarassing as hell. I would never do that to anyone. I have never been in trouble for anything prior to the false accusation, and ive not been in trouble for anything since then.
You know what really burns my ass too!? My wife watches that damn lifetime bullshit on t.v. It always shows these chicks being raped, and I will admit, there are a lot of guys who are violent toward women. It should stop.
I have never seen a movie on that channel where the guy is wrongly accused. Its like they think it dont happen. Before I got into this trouble I used to be pro death penalty, but im not anymore, especially when they started DNA testing these guys and finding out that quite a few were innocent of the charges brought against them.
I appologise man. It's a horrible feeling to be accused of something that you KNOW you didnt do - but no one else belives you. I was accused of attempted robbery in 05 but got released without charge after 5 months of bail.
But i still dont think changing identity is the right thing to do. Cant you move state or something? Or country if you have to?
I'm sorry to hear what you've been through.

Its alright guy Im going to get myself out of this mess. Ive been thinking of changing my identity for quite some time now. I would never steal anyones identity who is still alive. Im going to order this book Secure New Identity thru the Mail (http://www.morphiss.com/index.htm) I just hope I dont get ripped off. I did move out of that state, but it dont matter where I go it will follow me, im sure. I have thought of moving out of the country. If I do move, it will be to Australia, or New Zealand. They say that the U.S.A. is the most free country in the world. yeah right.

My sentiments exactly. I think almost all the laws in the US are pathetically over the top - it's as though they're thinning out the population by sending everyone and their mother to prison. And i disagree with the way the police do things.
Goodluck man.

First of all if your record was expunged then you are fine. There's nothing on your record to see.
Second. Just don't tell any employers you have a record. I've known lots of people who have done that. I've done that myself. I have a couple of officer assaults from way back and I've never listed them.
I knew a guy in cali that killed a guy and did 13 years in prison and about 5 years after he was free he filed to have his record expunged and also applied for and got a concealed weapons permit. Which isn't easy to get in cali.
