so i have five mother plants.

they were grown under a floro with not much heat, so they're stretched and dont really have good shoots. (there are a couple good shoots for cloning, but not as many as there would have been had i used a good light).

so this means i can cut the tops for clones and the couple shoots that exist..

what i am wondering is this:

after cutting and rooting the top part of the plant, can i cut further down the plant and try rooting middle sections?? if it worked, i would end up with bushier two-main-stalk plants but thats if it even worked...

has anyone done this, is it common? will it stress them too much? im doing it this weekend, then transferring outside a week and half later. let me know! thanks!

no, you cant cut the same branch and clone.....the clone wont live. you have to clone from the new shoot that comes out from the topped part of the plant..ha if that makes any sense:jointsmile:

Vigorous new shoots with a couple extra nodes that you can clean up and put the hormone on as the best rooting sites=good

In order to get good results when cloning the mom must be in a growth spurt when the shoots are being clipped. Flush the mom if needed, then feed her and get her under strong light long enough to encourage a growth spurt. Then take you shoots.
