SO i recently embarked on another break after saturday (4/21). Monday and Tuesday the total amount of food I have had is some guac chips, pretzels, and toast in the morning on one of the days. Im 6 2 180. I usually put away like 6 big meals a day (burritos, sandwiches, salads etc). This is a huge change. I know it won't last too much longer, but damn guys, I'm basically fasting here.
I have a danky enchilada in the fridge and I know how amazing it would be, but I am not hungry, and the thought of it makes me a little ill.
This can't be healthy. I can't go two full days without eating. I think I might force myself to eat dinner tonight.:(

you can go a while without food. fasting actually has alot of benefits to your health if you do it properly. the occasional chips and pretzels are not the way to go. drink lots of water and juices. eating oranges are good too.

ps you totally can go two days without eating. ive gone 6. just make sure not to eat a shitload once you break your fast or you will get sick. you have to work food back into your diet slowly

You're fine. You can indeed go a long time without food. Without liquids would be another matter entirely. When you get hungry enough, you'll eat. Just keep drinking fluids.
I got like that a little while back. I stopped eating everything for just over a week - i kept myself going with water. I couldnt even think about food without gagging and almost bringing the water back up.
In the end i just started to eat small little bits of food that were fairly bland every half hour and that got me back to eating - but i had the worse cramps EVER.
I still dont know what was actually wrong with me - somethings telling me it was just a cold but it must've been more than that to put me off food. Even when i got high i didnt want food - and normally i cant stop eating them i'm stoned.

You can last about 3 weeks or months without food, I forgot which one.

I was like that for a while last summer... For about three months I subsisted entirely on the bare minimum of food to keep me alive. No anorexia or anything.
None of the doctors I went to found anything abnormal ( well, I have 4 heart diseases and a liver disease, so it's always "abnormal"). Either way, the only method I used to increase my appetite was starting on very bland foods that had little or no aroma to incite nausea. After that I progressed to mainly vegetarian foods, and eventually back to normal. BTW I'm 6'2 as well and I ended up at like 138 lbs.
The worst part was that I ended up as a hypoglycemic because of the whole incident.
You're smoking or eating too much? I can't remember which one, but it's making you forget you have already eaten and when you believe you need to eat, you're like "I haven't eaten, but I don't feel hungry the least bit," when in reality you just snacked down an hour ago.

i too have been sort of the same way. i really don't feel hungry ever. for me this really isn't that bad since i can stand to lose the weight but it just worries me since i had usually always been eating throughout the day (3 normal meals and a snack between)

Sounds like the symptoms I had before I went to a doctor and found out I had Crohn's disease. Although I didn't just wake up one week and not be hungry, it was more gradual. I remember having nothing but a soda and being full all day, meanwhile I was loosing more and more weight and feeling like I was wasting away. I'm about 5'6" and my weight dropped down to about 120lbs, I could look in the mirror and see my heart beating...pretty crazy!
It might be something else, but if these symptoms persist it would be wise to see a doctor, especially if you start throwing up after you try to force yourself to eat.
