Just cloning around...

This is just anecdotal evidence but every article I've read about cloning had this statement in common. Only use the growth tip, a leaf or a piece of a branch wont work. I never tried with a leaf, but every time I've done up a tray of clones I include 1 piece of a branch that isn't the tip just for the sake of experiment. I've probably done 10 trays and out of those 10, 3 times none survived but 7 times at least a couple did. The interesting thing I realized today was out of those 7 successful trays, the piece of branch that isn't supposed to work, survived. I don't know if anyone but me finds that interesting but I thought I'd just throw that out there.
