Checked out the Sox- Yankees games for that weekend. I can say only 2 words. HOLY SHIT....Looking at $750 min. for 2 tickets. I figured...with it being close to the end of the season and both teams will most probably be heading to the playoffs. I guess I could go down to Kenmore square and hope somebody accidently dropped their tickets on the ground. So, looks like the game is out for me. Oh well, still got the hempfest and lots of herbage and hopefully meeting up with some other C-dot members for a smokeout.

Nope. I live in California. But I lived there for about a year. I lived in Melrose then I moved to Brookline then I moved to Roxbury. I rode the T everyday and was a pretzel vendor downtown. I have worked on the common, the Boston Marathon in front of the Old state house, downtown crossing...lots of places. It was one of the funnest years of my life. Smoked lots of weed, juggled and sold Boston Soft Pretzels.

also went to the cape a few times when I lived there. My good friends family has a house in Hull so we would go there during the summer.

it's a freedom rally, were a shite load of people get together in the park, play music, sell things and smoke weed. cops are there and they will arrest you for smoking, you just need to be smart about it. i watched a group of kids get busted, they were sitting in a circle in the center of a STANDING crowd of people, the state trooper walked right up and waited till they passed somthing and nabbed it. morons

That's sick I've never heard of somethin like this. I will just be gettin settled as a freshman at a local boston institution. Definitely will make room for this event within my studies.

Are they not fun?
It is nice to show the world and our government that we are not a bunch of retards and that it is our right to ingest a plant. A harmless plant that gives so much to the world. Marijuana could achieve world peace if it wasnt so suppressed.

yea, it wasn't a lot of fun, it seemed there were a lot of people there who didn't really give a shit and were just there so they could go home and boast about it! I Have mad respect for those who are there to actually support the cause tho!

It was a pretty good time.
I was wicked disappointed with one speaker in particular; they got this guy up there who was just so off the wall that he was really doing the cause a disservice- I hate seeing cannabis decrim lumped into other political and social agendas! As a medical issue, it should be a stand-alone policy change... and seeing speakers at rallies who are yelling about religion and stimulants and blah blah blah is just NOT appropriate in my opinion... way to go, alienate the more straight-laced voters who in this area are fairly affluent and have a lot pf political weight... pissed me right off.
But the bands were amazing.

I'll be there.. But I think MassCann is one of the laziest, least motivated group out there. When you hold an event and its full of people who are not old enough to vote it is hardly activism.

Good point, but those kids are gonna be voting in 2-4 years probaby (hopefully:rolleyes: ) and cannabis isn't gonna be legalized immediately.

damn I miss the NYC "pot parade" Police weren't even allowed into the park during it back then, and when it would end they would be on the speakers going "the police are coming through, put your shit away!"
