One of my friends said his buddy violated his probation cause he was around weed to much and failed a drug test. I don't think thats true can someone verify it for me?

Let's think about this:

Can you get high from eating cannabis? Yes

Can you get high from vaporizing cannabis? Yes

Second hand smoke? i'm not too sure =/
hotboxes, maybe..

Anyway, thc can enter the system without smoking it, like i stated.

I'm pretty sure a really good percentage of the THC is immediately absorbed into your lungs within the first hit. There is a little bit of THC when you exhale but not enough to make a difference...to me, it sounds like your friend is trying to convince himself that he didn't do anything wrong. I don't know though, maybe I'm wrong..hopefully someone else can back this up. :)

Second hand smoke - not really. But hotboxing is including the smoke from the lit end, not being inhaled by the smoker - so yes. Easily. If you breath in smoke from the lit end, your breathing in THC. - although they dont test for THC, they test for the cannabinoids and cannabinols left. THC is only in the blood for 2 -4 hours. After that it's gone. Poof.

Sadly enough, you can fail a drug test from " secondhand smoke" ( technically, only the smoke that hasn't been inhaled contains enough THC to cause anything) so if he was, say, in a car with someone burning a fatty, he could have garnered a small percentage of THC in his bloodstream. But on the other hand, there would have to have been a significant amount of undiluted smoke in the car, and the drug test would have had to occur in something like 12 hours after the instance for that to be true. So it could go either way.
