Hi Blue Im planning on to try and grow in coco some time in a couple of months and was wondering and since I checked out your coco harvest I thought you would be the one to talk to. I thought things would work out trying to grow in hydro but I think I have been driving myself crazy trying to find out every concievable detail and what to do. So thats why I was hoping you would give me some pointers such about coco like feeding and what fertilizers you would suggest and how much to feed them for veg and flower etc.

My game plan is getting 10 4gallon plastic pots for the coco and put a a layer of hydroton at the bottom like you had yours and mix in some perlight with the coco. I do plan on hand feeding them and turning them clock wise each day but so far thats all I know. If you or anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it...kinda at my wits end. Thank you

I would suggest Pure Blend Pro by Bonticare. They have good supplements too. General Hydroponics is also good... I use the floraNova 2 part solution and I have had great results with it.

How much would you think I would have to mix together in water to pour in the 4 gallon pots for the feedings?

Well that depends on alot of variables. I would use it as directed for mature plants (6" or taller) and 1/2 strength for anything smaller than that. Those fertilizers are organic (GH is Semi-Organic) so you'd have to really over do it to kill your plants. Just start out at a low dose and slowly work up. I would water them 1-2 cups every other day. Just water them until water barely starts to come out the bottom.

Im guessing that I would have to get the hydro-organic Pure Blend Pro?

I'm a coco/pureblend Pro combo user, and a HAPPY one.
IMO the hydroton is unnecessary, as is the perlite... but be sure to buy a high quality coco, such as the Botanicare stuff.

A nice thing about the pureblend packaging is that it gives instructions for different stages of the plant's life right on the bottle... all the different diluton rates you will need to know are right there.

Thank you earthly and stinky I really appreciate the help and will start gathering the stuff over the months cause since everyone here in mass is gonna be using all that power in the hot summer dont want to risk a black out. One more thing do you flush after each week with water like soil?

Ohhey you're in Mass too? Word. Get your butt out to Amherst tomorrow and celebrate cannabis on the common.

Well about flushing coco... ideally you want to overwater by 10% every time so you have a sort of constant flush situation but in reality, YES, I flush frequently.

Not every week on a schedule, but at the first sign of salt crystals appearing on the surface of the media. They show on the exposed ends of the rapidrooters first.

Ya know, Foxysox (another masshole) is running that way exactly, check the logs. She has a pic up of her little plants in the damn SHOWER, lol.
