RIDE OR DIE.
First grow is just starting to get harvested so now i must go forwards and forget about duh.
I would like to introduce you to "baby". She was sprouted on the 28th of march by my buddy funky fresh and I'm going to take care of her for a while!
[attachment=o131429]
:jointsmile:
This baby was started in scotts mositure control soil with added nutes for 3 month time periods, you get idea.
Now I've transplanted it into Organic Soil that I picked up at Menards in combination with the perlite. I realize the pot I put it into this time isn't too much larger than the last and I'll have to transplant again but thats ok for now!
The soil before didn't have any perlite and that why I think its slow steady growth, in combination with a small pot is why its so dense starting out. Its points that out to me.

I have 2 26w bulbs on it right now and am just about to go out and buy some r/o water so she can eventually rest for the night.
I have some super thrive on the way, and also a 400w mh bulb I'm excited :)

Baby picked up very quickly after her transplant within hours I was very impressed.
I put baby into this tented area last night so I could sleep with the lights off:
[attachment=o131688]
I gave her a new home and added 3 more lights and threw some C02. MH should come in the mail tomorrow.

I sorta broke my camera on 4/21 on the way to see the Phat-C concert... thats why I haven't been updating due to the lack of pics, but I'll see if I can steal one away as I'm going to send mine in to be repaired. Other wise shes going on the 5 o 6th node thick stem bulky plant with a nice smell with a nice balance of sativa but more indica... I hope it doesn't turn out male for some reason I think it is, but thats just based on my past plant experience. I've begun lsting it as well I want to top it I was thinking worse come to worse I could stick it outside somewhere hehe! But thats not up to me. We haven't been able to make progress on cloning due to school, but a bubbler kit has been assembled.
I've been watering at night and pumping a lot of C02 with soda and vinegar and been sealing the closet as best I can, I'm wondering if its the reason why the stem seems bigger. I watered with a half teaspoon of molasses once as well I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw some extra nutes and minerals in there.
Soon I'll also be needing to switch pots again and move er up to the next size. Mean while I have my old plant with 4 limbs in the closet as well in the near distance picking up some light on the 18/6 cycle all that happened so far is the hairs all turned dark brown lately.
I haven't been sleeping much... so hopefully now I will before I get up at 8am again!

Dude I want to top it and clone the top it just showed its sex... the spotted leaves are from the sunlight because as I feared they couldn't take the full harshness of the sun, switching from blue light CFL'S. But its looking better now.. I am thinking of lsting it down again right now because its getting pretty tall and I cant let it grow past the fence :(
Yesterday you could see the smallest pistils this like 1t+ plant took way long to show its sex unlike my last mutt.

I had to re-pot baby as she was root bound nearly 2 weeks ago already. I'm worried that shes going to out grow herself again. Should I just add another pot with dirt under the one I have? Or can someone comment on whether or not just putting the plant into the ground filled with dirt if you understand what I'm trying to ask. It's gotten far too large to move it anywhere else as it barley fit in my car a month ago!

man, it's looking big now. Just plant it in the dirt, then feed and water it. Should be fine.

man, it's looking big now. Just plant it in the dirt, then feed and water it. Should be fine. Well Buzz the only reason why I'm curious about this is solely because the plant is in sandy soil.. basically straight sand within the container I buried in the ground.
I don't think the sand will have proper nutes to feed baby come September. I don't want the plant to out grow so large that the amount of soil I have in there isnâ??t enough and then have to dig out the entire plants root system to attempt to add more soil seems like a bad idea. Also Iâ??m not sure if Iâ??m going to want to re-locate it within the same area as itâ??s gotten 2x as large and I donâ??t want it to draw any attention to itself being as large as it is already. I just donâ??t want this plant to get put in the ground and then have something go wrong. But eventually I think I will just end up putting it straight into the earth I create for it. Maybe 2 cu ft worth will be enough for the next few months.
Iâ??m probably rambling on at this point huhâ?¦
that is awesome, that plant got fuckin huge. Are you able to see the plant in the picture with the forest or were you just humoring us? Also, where do you live, It's beautiful there. If you don't want to say I understand.
The only reason I posted that picture was partly because itâ??s Babyâ??s habitat the plant is threw the shore line past the trees for optimal sun. Though mostly because there were two turtles sun bathing on logs even though it wasnâ??t a particularly sunny day. I live in Southeast Minnesota along the Mississippi river in a bluff valley and it is stunning.
I thought maybe she was root bound again when I looked at her on the 14th but then I realized it was only due to insufficient watering and I collected about 35gallons of rain water + I realized that I have a dehumidifier in my basement which is constantly pumping out R/O water. Things are settling down and I'm glad to have had the chance to grow indoors and now a chance to experiment outdoors as well.

[attachment=o149291]
This is the way the branch looks running down. I like the way it looks I wonder sativa or indica dom?
[attachment=o149292]
[attachment=o149293]
I want to put another layer of soil down soon for the next month of growth. I'm thinking then after that I can just put dirt in around the roots and it'll do just dandy.
Though I don't know what to do, should I top or try to even FIM her? Which will be better in the end main bud or multiple main cola's.....
Edit:
I forgot to mention I went and watered baby with molasses I figured even though still in veg at her size she could use some extra minerals and nutes!

As I thought baby was root bound again after only a few weeks. The roots were coming out of the bottom and searching through the sand for space. I broke up the root ball a little bit and put her back in the ground. Before too long here its going to need to be transplanted again, but at that point I'm just going to put the soil in the ground, or I'll need to find a container large enough to house 3 qft of soil. I also added 2 table spoons of molasses to my waterings again after the last time I did.
She was droopy after I left the medical scene but here be some pics!

It was confirmed female on June 5th. :) This plant was indoors for a month or so before, so it had a jump on veg.

I also forgot to mention that I actually transplanted it today once again, I'm not sure if i made that clear enough yet, but the roots only fit half way into the new pots. I also rotated her. Before one side of the plant received the most light, now its flipped I'm hoping this will be a good means to get more light in places it hadn't been before :).
Shes taller than she was two weeks ago, the pictures even show that. It was ridiculous to try and pick her up and get er in and out of the pots.

Put the baby into the ground for good now, no more pots. I also gave her a mega does of Molasses. I was half tempted to use some Ferts but I'll just grow this one as organic as I can. She's taller than I am now by at least 1/2 a foot. Next year I think I'll have to do some topping, however we'll see how baby turns out.
I live in a region where there is an extra 2 hours of sunlight a day, so flowering is a little slow, but is coming. You can see some pre-flower pics I took quick.

Thats lookin nice now man. The only thing i will say is this; You really don't need to repot as often as you have. It doesn't matter if the roots touch the edge of the pots a bit. It'll do more harm than good at this stage i think. I have several Sativa dominant plants outside, 3 of them are a good deal larger than yours, and all of them are in pots half the size of yours. Good guerilla grow, i have 4 plants that need to go guerilla, i just need to find a good spot (which is easier said then done living in the city)...

well once it was deserved but it kept growing after ever transplant :)
It looks a little thin to me however, so that was worrying me which lead me to just deciding to stick it in the ground for good.
I remember transplanting me last plant into a new pot when it was much farther into flowering and it came out just fine. :)
I'm just worried that it's not going to have enough P when the times comes as I haven't any bonemeal in my soil mix...

I would put into ground and remove from containers all together - i grow in sand- i have dug holes and filled with fertile dirt- the roots reaching into the sand is less harmfull then constant stress from transplanting- good looking plant you have- if you do this I would put a stake next to it in case you have high winds and your plant will not blow over

she smells like Moca Coffe and looks super dank. she also put out ONE seed one one branch already.... hello baby f2! but I dropped the seed from the pod on my floor and so far have been unable to locate it. Whenever I would touch this plant and smell my fingers I would detect Pine.... she is a special plant. I know I won't be harvesting very much from her but even if its only a half Oz I do expect to it to be some bomb weed... anyone have ideas about maturity? I'm going to check on my other postings of my last grow to see and compare dates. But I'll be keeping an eye on the temps on weather.com she survied two frosts already this season but her stems are also purple out there with some black spots.. pretty soon I'd say maybe in two weeks she'll need to be cut down ):

KL.....limp it along....that's all I can offer.....lots of defs and problems there....I don't think you will be able to fix the stem.......too many problems with the plant's immune system.
You can try the fungicide spray on the stem and other areas that are not buds. But you are living on borrowed time.
Good Luck.

I just feeel like a noob now... wow.
I just wanted to let this thing grow with no intervention in the end though. But I just don't understand, my last grow I used top soil like 99c stuff from walmart and it worked out fine. As opposed to baby which used organic soil from menards... makes me a little sad... but I really am not worrying about it. I'm confident she'll finish flowering, and I'll still be able to make the best out of this learning experince. With this only being my 2nd grow, and the 1st outdoor grow under my belt. I'm really looking forwards to expanding with some c99. Investing the time and effort into a stable breed seems rewarding to me. I want a KL strain.
Weedhound
10-22-2007, 04:04 AM
Outdoor growing scares me....you have such LESS control over things than indoors and I think that makes a huge difference.
Part of the issue is the age of your plant...it is nearing the end of its life so you are very limited in corrective measures you can take....if any quite frankly. And the rainy season can't help either.....alot of water will make certain issues worse (I got this info from Stinky......didn't think it up myself....)
Youll get something out of her in the end but the longer she goes the more she is open to new problems......just something to consider.

Frost has come the past two nights... when I went out to the spot the main cola looked like this.... ( Pre trimmed mind you) [attachment=o162729]
so I cut off the top!
My entire house smells of weed and I've found 4 seeds total so far. I left the two main side branches to grow some more but I fear that the frost will limit their effectiveness.
