they look pretty healthy, maybe a little hungry. is that ebb and flow? are you feeding them yet? If you aren't, I think you can give it 200-300 ppm. I am in the final weeks of a northern lights x shiva grow myself and must say you are in for some tasty looking buds.
keep it up

How can you tell they look hungry? I started feeding them slowly last week and they seem to love it. I give them PBP Grow at the moment as they are in the begining of their 3rd week. I gave them 7.5 of nuts per gallon last week and I guess ill feed them again tommorow another 7.5 per gallon this week.
This is flood and drain and I have it set every 2 hours to flood for 15min. I have been leaving the light on 24/7 as its a 400w MH hortilux. The plants have a feint smell if you get close to them. Starting to smell really good although I heard this strain wasnt stinky.
Again thanks for the advice and ask me anything of concern as it will surely help me along the way!

in general this plant will go dark green when fed a lot, and go lighter green when it could use more food. I think this has to do with the nitrogen levels, with higher levels causing more chlorophyll, thus the darker green.

flow with the force Luke...
Go with your gut. If standing there they look great...Don't worry!
BUT!!! turn the light off at least 6 to 8 hours a day is "better" or your root zone won't develop as it should. Growing foliage without a proper root zone will lead to problems with weak plant structure as plant matures. Less Yield
It is up to you, But I promise you It will help. Plants need to rest. It is the natural cycle of things to achieve the level of photosynthesis necessary to achieve Maximum Yield. Peace

Thanks for the advice and comments. They seem pretty healthy from the eye and im glad you noticed they needed more food. I gave them some more last night and upon today at this time they look like it did them some good. The only thing I noticed was on a few of the tips they are turning a little on the yellow side but only on the very tip. I hope I havent given them to much.
As soon as my Cal Mag comes in im going to switch them over to RO/Distilled. I have been feeding them tap water which has a ppm of 60.
I have about 3 feet to work with on a full grown plant so I should switch them 12/12 at about 10-15 inches correct?

they are on the edge of nute burn. they should be alright if it doesn't get worse, just keep an eye on it. if you feel like its getting bad you can always switch to lower concentrations. that's the beauty of hydro.

Well after adding the next weeks nutrients into the reservoir the other night the plants got some ugly yellow spots on them. As soon as I noticed I added 2 gallons of water to dillute all the nutrient. It seemed to stop the nute burn as I posted over in the plant problems section with a picture. Thank god it didnt affect the whole plants and just a few leaves.
Other than that the plants look good and are still growing. I keep the ph around 5.7 or so. The ppm was around 400 or so counting the 60ppm from the tap water(havent installed RO system yet). They saw burn at 900ppm.

Just wanted to get an update out there to you. Comments always welcome. They are sitting around 7in tall at the moment. I have room for 3'. None have shown sex that I can tell but one has sticky stuff on the top of one of the leafs so im not sure what that means. It feels like resin sticky.

Just need a confrimation from someone experienced. Would it be a bad idea to throw the lights to 12/12 at the end of week 4?
The plants will be at least 12" tall by then(the tallest). I have 3' of room for growth and I need to find out which of the 9 are males/females.

those plants are looking good. you can flower them whenever. they'll probably double in size during flower, maybe a little less, so go from there

I think ill run them till friday and then throw the switch.
I may be seeing things but it appears that some of the plants may already have those white hairs on them up top but I tried to get a good look with my 30x lighted microscope from radioshack and cant see a damn thing. I think ill take it back as all i see is blur. I think I might see balls on 2 of them but then again that might be flowers waiting to come out.

Just an updated for today(thursday). The plants are sitting right at 13 inches tall. They grow so quickly. :rastasmoke:
I honeslty cannot tell which plants are male? I do see white hairs on the tops of most of the plants though. I have kept them in 23/0 light so far.
Another question for you: Being as this is the end of week 4 and according to PBP nutes do I change out the reservoir and go into bloom nutes?
I have only given the plants very little nutes right now and they seem happy with that. I have only given them about 15ml once a week last week and thats it since veg. I tried giving them more at one point and they showed nute burn. They seem happy so far and growing quickly.
P.S. I hope this makes since as I just got off a 12 hour shift and a little on the tired side.

All 9 are now about 16" tall. I started the transition on sunday with half bloom/grow then ill rez change on sunday and switch the light to 12/12. I only got 3' to work with so I hope they fit or im forced to top?
Real happy with PBP so far as the plants love them. I keep the hut about 69degrees and the rez temp under 70. :rasta:

Well its the end of the first week of flowering. I have noticed 4 plants with white pistils and the other 5 were males. I chopped all the males down spread the females out to give them room. The plants are already almost 3 foot tall now and im not sure what to do as the light really dont move up any higher.
Should I just bend the plants over or cut some length off the main stem? Im unsure what to do at this point but everything else is looking good. Will post pictures later on.
