82 emails in one day?

I got 82 odd emails today all from cannabis.com telling me about new posts on threads i have posted in - subscriptions.

I made a thread about it a couple of days ago and did everything Billionfold told me to do - and it was fine for a few hours.

Then they started comming again- and i've just got ANOTHER!

It's going my head right in - oh for gods sake, i just got antoher. Make that 84 damn emails today.

Can someone please write down step by step what i can do to stop all these emails, coz im going to end up putting my fist through the computer in a min.

I'll bloody well pay whoever can tell me how to fix it!

here's an idea... go to your user cp and change your registered email.. to a non existant (atleast ot you) email...

Are all the settings I had you change the same, or did they revert?

I cant possibly forget my pw - unless i get hit on the head - but im always the one doing the hitting.

And i have no idea what happened with it - i never got these emails before this week - and i haddnt changed anything, then i did what you said and it stopped, and then started again without me changing anything. It just all started out of the blue this week.

At first it was just annoying, but 82 emails a day? That's just taking the fecking piss.

you can change how your subscriptions notify you by using the drop down menu when it asks how to notify you, via email or not. in your user cp settings
this was started since some members stated they wanted a email notification

Yeap, i changed the email setting to no email notification - and still got the emails anyway - but it's alright - i've just changed my email address on this site to one that i dont use.

can someone else test this as well? subscribe to some threads without email notification and see if it still sends out the emails....

I can tell you for sure that I have, and always have had, my subscription option set to no email notification. About four days ago I started getting a plethora of emails as well, and checked to make sure that nothing had changed on my CP, and it still said no email notification. So i just figured it was a bug that would get worked out, but maybe not....
