k, just curious.... after you do house work type stuff.. do you feel good about yourself, like you've accomplished something... or do you just dread it all together and getting it done is 'just getting it outta the way'

I actually feel pretty good.

Yeah, I like it. I find vacuuming therapeutic, and I like the way the floors look and feel after I've done it. There's no miscellaneous little bits of cat litter to step on. And I love the way the kitchen looks when it's all cleaned up and orderly.

Housekeeping order and cleanliness do not come naturally to me. I have to work hard at it. But I'm always glad when I do!

Yea I feel good. Mostly cause I dont do it much. And our vaccum leaves a pretty distinct but good smell. And I love the fact I can walk around bare foot without gettin crumbs or cat litter, or anythin stuck on my feet.

I LOVE washing my blankets though on my bed. I love 'Mountain Breeze' smell as I goto bed.

If you see it as a means to an end, then yes, cleaning can be quite the bother. As Birdgirl said, cleaning can be quite relaxing when you're focused on the job and not the television show in the other room. I enjoy immersing my hands into lukewarm water when washing the dishes, despite the fact that my father leaves work around the house (A tactic of his--He believes that eventually someone will get tired of the mess and clean it themselves) for me, I'd rather him simply ask me to do something, but that hasn't necessarily worked in the past. I work on my own schedule. If I followed my dad's routine, the house would be an immaculate temple that no one would want to step foot in for fear of staining something. My father gives new meaning to the phrase "clean freak." There's no compromise with him. Cleanliness to him means my brother and I are out of his house.

Depends...

I'm traditional and think that the woman should keep the house clean, while the men do the other shit outside.

I end up doing both. I hate doing the inside shit, but I feel good about the outside shit.

Cleaning the bathroom: :(

Building the garage: :)

lol... i guess i perfer the inside crap (i hate cleaning the bathroom tho) because i've been the one of the household doing it since i was young... i started cooking for our family at like 8 or 9 cuz i got tired of eating beans and hamburger helper all the time (my grandma CANNOT cook... even with instructions she still manages to screw it up somehow)

i'm also pretty generally a clean freak..i hate dirty shit >.< i'm usually the one that gets tired of it before anyone else...

I hate doing chores, and just do it to get it out the way. I really don't feel accomplished after sweeping.

i tell myself no weed till the cleaning is done, before long 3 or 4 hours passed and my room is spotless(for the most part lol) and its time to get high.

Well ya know when ya clean the house up, when it's usually your womans job, then she comes home to see what you did. Chances are you "get some" hehehe

my boyfriend figured that out already.

I'm not a clean freak, but I can't stand anything that I would call unsanitary, which would include the bathroom in my apartment. I got so fed up with my room mates not helping to clean it that I gave up and will only shower at my boyfriends house. We're moving in together soon so I wont have to look at black mold anymore.
I feel really good about myself after I do a deep cleaning. I'm on adderal for ADD and I dont take it very often because when ever I do I end up cleaning for 8 hours before I even start doing homework. I can't study in a messy environment.

i know how you feel... i'm a relatively clean person, but my gandparents ARE NOT... they use the same washrag to shower with for like weeks (i won't even touch it and when i go to shower, i kick it off on the floor, just the mere thought of what's crawling on it makes me wanna puke) that gives you an idea of how 'clean' they like to be... it drives me insane lol..
