Huge problem

Okay, so I don't have a bowl anymore and I want to try and make a gravity bong, BUT, I have a huge problem.

I don't know how to make anything to smoke out of and I'm low on supplies. I got this idea of someone on this board:

1. Take a 2 liter bottle and cut the bottom off.

2. Find a 5/8 size socket wrench head and use it for the bowl. Put screen into it and it fits perfectly into the top of a coke bottle.

3. Fill up a large sink, tub, or bucket with water.

4. Place the bottle in the water so that only the top of the bottle is above water.

5. Place the bowl in the top (it should fit real snugg) and pack the bowl with weed. Dont pack the bowl huge because you wont be able to hold it down. The hits on these things are massive.

6. Light the bowl and slowly lift the bottle out of the water. You will see smoke filling the bottle.

7. Stop when there is about an inch of the bottle submerged in the water. Take off the bowl, place mouth over top, and push the bottle down into the water and inhale at the same time.


It seems easy enough because I have most of those materials, but, shoot me for this, I don't know what a screen is. I'm thinking it's just anything that is, as the name suggests, a screen. But, I'm not sure where I can obtain one from my house. Where do they usually come from?

Also, my toolset is completely in MM, and I'm not sure how big 5/8 is in terms of that. So, any help appreciated. It's 11:03 and I was hoping to get screwed up, listen to some freaky music, and, maybe, pass out on my bed by 1. ^_^

fuck that. get a empty soda can crush one side in and poke holes in it with a saftey pin then put tthe weed on that, and smoke out of the mouth piece.

check a facet.. man I hope I spelled it right.. you know a sink.. Check the part where water comes out. You can unscrew a small screen. Clean good though... and use that as a screen. Next time your out dude. Buy a bunch of screens from ur headshop there so inexpensive and they help out with all your pieces.

Anywa,y 10 minutes later after writing the above,. I said screwed it and unded up using osmethign from my moms toolset. The howl on it was small neough to put weed and suck and it won't ocme out.

I workd fuckign awomed. I don't know if its becuase the weed or what bu ti I'm completly ufcking soned on less than half a bowl.

ONLY ABd part as was that i thought I leaned it, but not god enough. It tastes like i smoked a small bit of bike tir or something.

a cool thing to do with the gravity bong is after you fill it up with smoke, instead of inhaling on the way down, put your mouth on it, push it down until the water level around the bottle is a little ways down from the mouth peice, and then hit it... It's one hell of a shotgun hit.

Okay, so...sorry about acting like an ass. I feel retarded, but I was more screwed up last night than I had ever been in the 8 months I've been smoking.

Anyway, I have a question which I asked last night but none of you could discern what I was trying to say. The thing I ended up using to smoke out of, and will probably use tonight if it's SAFE, is this thing that goes to a wrench set, I think. I'm not into tools or anything so I'm not sure.
It is this metal pipe thing that latches onto this large tool and you put it on something it fits onto (like a bolt or something I think) and you turn it and it makes the bolt or whatever loose.

Well, it's the pipe that goes onto the tool. It has a hole that is small enough to where I can put weed in there and suck and the weed won't come out through the hole into my mouth. The only problem is last night I smoked from it and my entire mouth tasted like tire.
I tried cleaning it prior to use with anti-bacterial dish soap and scolding hot water but it still tasted like that, so I guess I didn't do a good job. My question is, is that REALLY harmful to my body?
As I said I don't have ANYTHING else to smoke out of until, probably, tomorrow or Monday at the latest and this thing is the ONLY thing I have to smoke out of. I know having increased exposure to anything harmful to the body, well...harms it. A lot. But what I was wondering is, is if I smoke out of it again tonight and maybe tomorrow and after tomorrow NEVER AGAIN, will my lungs be seriously damaged?

Edit: I'm also boiling the piece right now, and will probably do so until the water evaporates to see if I can totally clean it out and leave only the metal. ^_^

Ya I mean if your using home made techniques it not always going to be the safest thing to use. Use clean it really good and dont let ur pops find out. its nothing more than my dad hates if i use his tools from something and then put them in the wrong place

If you're talking about a ratchet-head, then yeah, you can use it as a bowl. I've used those before, though 1/4 is the biggest I've tried. If it tastes like tire, the metal may have a coating that needs to burn off, or there might be some kind of residue on it.

As there's no sure way to know what kind of metal it's made of, I'd be careful. It's probably pot-metal, so it could contain lead and all other kinds of goodies. If you can't find foil (which is safer than some unknown), or a soda can, and you can't make a bottle bong, and can't roll a joint.. Then i guess you probably won't die using it two more times. But seriously, you can't find ANYthing to roll a joint out of?

I have aluminum foil, but I heard that was SERIOUSLY hard on the lungs. We don't use cans because everyone in my family hates the taste of canned soda.
The ratchet head or whatever...well, it turns out that in the longer part of it it has rubber in it to make it easier to latch onto things. That's what made it taste like tire. I'm thinking that if I'm careful not to burn the rubber itself and only let the flame TOUCH it for a couple seconds it won't hurt nearly as much because I won't be smoking rubber, just getting a taste of it.
I can't make a bottle bong because I have no (read: AT ALL) materials in which to make it anymore. Only thing I ever heard of rolling a joint with is papers. Remember, I've been bowl dependent for 8 months.
As to fruits and veggies...my mom has been working overtime at her job for days (about 9-14) on end so she hasn't had time to grocery shop. So, she gives me 20 bucks in which to feed myself for the entire day and we're all happy.

20 bucks a day? dam! isnt that enough for an apple a day? or use a toilet roll, fold it in the middle, punch holes in it, cover one end, and inhale through the other, or you could just stick the weed in your nose, light it up and breathe. i dont recommend the last one though.
