I am not receiving emailed alerts stating someone has responsed to a thread I posted in or started.

I checked my settings, and they seem to be fine?

OK, you know you've checked your settings in your User CP and you know your subscribed threads are set so you're supposed to receive an email when a new one comes in? This is tricky, so double-check it. You need to both have some subscribred threads listed and then on that pull-down list in the lower-right green bar you need to make sure you've selected the email option. There also needs to have been some recent action on the thread itself because you're not going to get an email if no additions have been made to the thread.

If you've made sure everything's set right, try signing out, then emptying your temporary files folder in your browser, then restarting and see if that helps. If that doesn't seem to cure the problem, let us know and perhaps Sundance will have an answer. Good luck!

very weird.. been around forums for a while and I manage one myself, so yeh, I did all the usual checks.

can you please post a reply in here in 2 mins, I will logout and remove temp files etc. see if that helps.

edit: also, my ISP dont have an anti-spam system in place. so I can rule that out. (unless they are perm blocking *cannabis.com emails, but I doubt it).

Have you already logged out and back in? It's been three minutes by my PC since the time on your last post. Let me know if it's working.

yep, done all that (log out, close IE, delete temp files, re-opened IE, logged back in).. still no subscription email.

are you able to ask the boss to send me an email from say [email protected] ? Just to test if my ISP is letting this domain send through emails..

actually, come to think about it, they do, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to complete my registration.

So... I'm guessing somethings not right in the back end?

Let's see if Sundance'll come along and see if he can help with the problem. He's the real expert on these things and will know if there's something on the system end that might be preventing the emails from subscribed threads. He checks this area regularly. I have to sign out now and go to school. Good luck!

thanks for the support.. I'm hoping he can help me out!

Nothing better than checking email to see subscribed thread notifications :)

understand where you're coming from, but its a feature I use as I am subscribed to a big number of forums..

I dont want to sound blunt about it, but it is a feature and should work..

EDIT: It's possible you need to be registered+ for this feature to kick in. Meaning that you need 50+ posts. I could be wrong, though.

I hope you're right! :)
